Nah, just because players have a high rating doesn't make you a lock to win. If you pick a team of high rated offensive guys but are inferior defenders then you're going to get stomped by a more powerful defensive squad. You have to still put a strategy together, and intangibles matter as well...

It doesn't select two extra players, per say. In the past I usually round out the draft with two benchwarmers. But, those two extra spots could be put to good use in the tournament based on matchup differences. There's still a lot of good value on the board as well.
