If he's set at 5/150 that's probably a bit much for my tastes, talk him down to 5/125 or something like it and I'm feeling good like the article seems to think the Bulls should aim for.
But I wouldn't be upset at the mentioned Collins+2nds price in a SnT.
I was thinking 20-25/year. It does sound rough with the 3 grouped, but it's mostly cause Lauri is paid paid imo, he'd be making half that 100 million. Seems like a bit of a sunk cost thing. Giddey/Kessler at a combined 40-50 million/year seems like a reasonable upside gamble.
Do we have an easy way to offer Giddey some money? Decent player, has been improving, still very young.
Obviously Chicago could match, but I don't see anyone else I'd want to take a shot on.
I don't mind taking a shot on Nurkic to rehab some value by the deadline (he was a good player prior to last season), but feels kind of bad that we paid a 2nd.
Makes me think Kessler is on the move, which I will actually dislike unless the value is just killer.
Yes, that is standardly how NBA comps work, folks compare them to who they could be in the NBA.
And don't pretend you remember TMac as a prospect. Nobody here knows anything about what TMac looked like as a prospect in the mid 90s, even NBA teams could barely scout high schoolers at that point...
Yeah, that would've the GOAT front office draft performance.
It was crazy good with just Gobert (a pretty easy #2 in a re-draft) and we went in with #14/#21/#46.
Rashard Lewis is the guy I'm hoping he can develop into - probably a bit more creation but a bit worse pure shooter. Not really a standout defender, but not a problem either.
I don't see anything close to TMac with defensive upside.
McGrady's handle/athleticism were so much better than what I'm seeing from Ace I can't even begin to see the comparison.
In my time as a fan I'd put Ace as the #2 upside guy behind Deron.
Not old enough to comment on how Darrell Griffith should compare.
Edit: That's kind of how I felt at the time, obviously guys like Mitchell/Gobert wound up being homerun picks and I don't really expect Ace to be better than either.
It's a B. You've got to go above and beyond to get an A (see Atlanta pulling a heist on New Orleans).
We grabbed the falling 'talent' and made a small move up to secure a vet guard we liked. Nice, but nothing spectacular.
Best draft in franchise history?
You gotta see some results before tossing out stuff like that. Hell, you have to see some results before you even call it a good draft.
Folks weren't bashing the Exum pick on draft day either.
We still have #53 right?
But either with 53 or as an UDFA Jacksen Moni is a super sleeper I'd like to see brought in for at least a workout.
Got NBA forward size and can shoot it, can he operate at the NBA level?
