Clayton continues to struggle to get his shot against NBA length. They’ll go down if he can get them off.

and his rookie season 20 ppg on 43/28 shooting splits, 51% TS, 4 rebs, 2 assists, 3 TOs per game. As great as KD is, it took him a second to get going. he took a monster leap during his second season however. that's where he pulled away from the pack and started to become who he is.

yeah, he's a ball mover. absolutely was ball mover this past season. did he have his moments where he dribbled the air out of the ball? absolutely. but generally, he was a ball mover his rookie season.

    Jazz summer league MVP?

even in summer league, wcj is finding it much more difficult to get shots off than it was in college. guys are so much taller, longer, quicker. hopefully, it will just be a period of adjustment to the speed and length of the game, and he'll be okay.

so curious if they hold Ace out tonight, but i guess if there were news by this point about who is/isn't playing somebody on this board would have seen it.

interesting. i thought he got plenty of good shots yesterday. makes me wonder how much the tough shots he took at Rutgers were teammates inability to draw defenses, to get him the ball in good spots, no spacing, lack of scoring options to where he felt he had to force things, etc. 3 dunks, a...

    Jazz summer league MVP?

i'm a WCJ fan and think he could break out in Vegas still. But honestly, every jazz fan should want Bailey to be the best player - if he's the Jazz' best summer league player as an 18 year old, it bodes extremely well for his and the Jazz future.

Salt Lake City Summer League: July 5-8 @ Huntsman Center

i didn't like GG much at draft time (and he clearly struggled in a limited sample his second year after a very nice rookie season), but he's damn impressive physically and has unique skills for a guy as big and long as he is. and he'll play his third season in the league at only 21. very good...

if he doesn't play 30+ this season, it's a failure on the part of the coaches.

he did get benched and deserved it. he came in, promptly had a bad turnover and was pulled. i don't blame jazz coaches at all. but Ace was an afterthought during that stretch.

Two things that i think need mentioning as i read through the thread. First, we know Collier is unselfish, that he can pass and set guys up. We know it and the jazz know it. It would stand to reason that he was told to use summer league to be aggressive scoring the ball. he had 5 assists...
