The chances of Wolves having to go through playin to get to the playoffs are pretty good. In that case all we need is a loss or two to send them to the lottery. It's not likely to be a very high lottery pick, of course, but a) some pingpong balls and b) at lowest the 14th pick.

Free agency: June 30 (I think, but at least after draft)
They still fill the seats in Delta Center, and unlike other bottom-dweller stadiums there's still a great atmosphere. I'm not sure if this was more or less than one could expect, but I'm not at all worried long-term. I certainly want to go back to Normal Days and enjoy games again, though...
I certainly agree that only a minority of fans (pretty small one too) want a 5-6 year tank. Just saying that a drop in viewership doesn't really say much, that was totally expected.
But they are very much non-zero, and you just increased your chances of losing the game in regulation from 0% to a non-insignificant %. I don't think this is an easy decision.
Is it that obvious, though? They don't take much time off the clock from the rebound to the TO, so they would definitely have time on the clock if he missed, given they got the rebound. And then you open up a 2 for OT or you could even lose. The clock doesn't start when the ball hits the rim...
