I agree that taking a worse deal to include Gay would not be the way to go. We have a floor on salary that we have to hit anyways. It will be interesting to see which players are still around when all the action is done. If Conley, Bogey, JC etc are gone, we are going to need some salary

I hope we can package DM and Rudy Gay in this deal so we can also unload that contract

I don't see how DM can get to the Nets. Simmons value has hit such a low mark at this point, the Nets would have to really take a hit on trading him to another team to facilitate DM.

I think Jazz fans realize that DMs defensive liabilities due to lack of size and/or level of effort are a real issue with taking this team to the next level. The concern that DM is not committed to being here for the long haul makes fans want to get the best returns and avoid a Hayward scenario...

What are the Nets options to bring on DM? What team is willing to take on Ben Simmons that could be included in this deak?

Might need to include Conley/Gay as part of a package deal that gives other teams the primary assets in the deal. If the Jazz are involved in a Nets deal with the Suns, may need to include Conley or Gay to be able to unload those contracts.

I think Don is just disappointed that the Knicks want Brunson over him. Wait until the Knicks FO understands that the reason Brunson went off like he did was because he was going against the Jazz backcourt.
