Simmons stats last year was much better than Rudy's stats this year and simmons could not make the all star game last year ; in a much weaker eastern conference as well. Doncic is arguably more deserving of an all star spot than Rudy this year, but he has not been picked either. Calm down jazz...

using some idiots' logic on this forum ( who downplayed Simmons's stats) ~ Rudy 's rebounds were mostly uncontested and most of his points came from dunks and 1~3 feets from the rim. He can't shoot and does not have a jumper. There are probably a few more deserving candidates than Rudy.

Yes, he has improved this year. Rebounds, assists, points per game, shooting % have all increased this season. He is even attempting 3, 4 jump shots each game now.

His jumpers are deadly inside 10 feet from the rim. He Has a Jordanesque fade away jumper now.

To be honest mitchell's jump shots are worse than simmons' . he keeps hitting the back of the rim.

Scored all his points from layups, His jump shots suck so he is not trying them.

Simmons carried the team in the first 3 quarters, his team mates stepped up in the last quarter. Don't see what is your problem with that. Simmons is the only pg in the last 29 years to achieve a 20 pts, 20 rebounds double doubles. He is a monster.
