    Brian Thompson Killing

What do you mean? Murders in NYC are so exceedingly rare, it only makes sense to put everything you have into finding this guy.

Isaiah Collier is an actual NBA point guard

    Yeah, in the 1980s.

    First round. Mea culpa.

    The Dark Days

I think the most infuriating thing about player development is that the Jazz have amassed so many young players without a single clear elite skill. Again, Kessler is an exception here because he's probably already an elite rim protector at this level. Keyonte, Brice, Taylor...

    The Dark Days

It's just crazy that almost a dozen lottery picks in like 3 years have amounted to exactly one player who looks like he might be playing basketball 5 years from now in a place where they speak English: Kessler.

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

We have the same amount of wins as the Sixers and the Bucks, two teams with recent MVPs still in their prime.

Much easier taking it to the hole against 15-year old girls than against John Collins.

Can we play these guys every night?

    Likely Rebuild Timeline / Strategy

I think you're arguing semantics here. Whether the 5 best players or 10 best players are unavailable isn't really all that relevant to my argument. My fear is simply that we're going to use 4 picks around the 20th spot in the draft to get 4 players who realistically aren't going to ever be...

    Likely Rebuild Timeline / Strategy

In the real world, there are maybe 3-4 contenders in each conference. Maybe. I'm not talking about trying to pry someone away from Boston or OKC. I'm talking Atlanta, Sacramento, New Orleans.

    Likely Rebuild Timeline / Strategy

The right opportunities were there and are there, constantly. Stars get traded and have been traded every year, including this one. Aside from maybe 4-5 players in the league, everyone has a price. We've also seen what that price has been lately. The Jazz have the assets to outbid all but...

    Likely Rebuild Timeline / Strategy

We've had almost a two-digit number of first round picks the past 2 years and a bit. How many All-Stars do you figure we've picked looking at our current roster?

    Likely Rebuild Timeline / Strategy

The picks we received in those two trades were never going to be top-5 picks to begin with. Teams no longer do complete teardowns when they owe picks and swaps in consecutive years. If the pick the Jazz owed to OKC was unprotected, I assure you the Jazz wouldn't be 0-5. There's no logic in...

I don't think we're ever going to find guards who can stop their man from getting to the basket.

It's not even how many threes the opponents hit. There has to be a freaking way to stop a team taking 8 threes against you in 5 minutes. Just force them inside.

I've been complaining to my wife about how long the off-season is for the NBA compared to European football leagues. I never understood why they don't just start the season in September and have fewer back-to-backs.

    Utah Hockey Club?

I have long believed that most US-based NHL teams' names, logos, and colour schemes have been devised by 11-year olds. No reason why Utah should be different, I suppose.

    Are the Jazz Not Bad?

The Jazz don't play games in a vacuum. It's not just about how bad or good we are, but how good or bad other teams are. There are at least 6-7 teams in the East simply worse than the Jazz, and most of them actively tanking. The West may be tougher, but there are still bad teams like the...
