    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Mike Conley will make you good. He won't make you a title contender, but he also won't let you suck.

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I personally wouldn't trade Vanderbilt, and I would trade Conley, but that recent report about Conley being happy might lead us to keeping him. I guess for me it comes down to who is in the 3-5 year window for us. Hardy is new, but I'm sure he has his "type". Identify those guys we have and...

Rudy Gobert "Greatest Jazz Center of All Time" Countdown Thread

A little somebody named Scottie Pippen was added to the Bulls in 1987. Jordan won the DPOY for the 1987-88 season. In a largely unathletic league where most everybody just skipped the ball around the horn or fed it down low, Jordan just played passing lanes or stripped bigs. Pippen would...

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

We are. I was going off of Basketball Reference which is usually pretty spot on..... https://www.basketball-reference.com/contracts/ 21 Utah Jazz $150,749,265 $134,111,459 $43,470,744 $30,237,463 But If you select Utah Jazz, it actually has us at $141 million. Seems like they are about as...

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I haven't looked at many of the trade ideas thrown around here so far, but has anybody discussed: Jazz get McDermott and 2nd rounders Lakers get Love and Josh Richardson Cavs get Beasley Spurs get Russ and 2nd rounders Seems to make sense for all four teams right? Russ gets bought out of...

Sexton needs to be a great 6th man, but forget about building a team or offense around him.

Rudy Gobert "Greatest Jazz Center of All Time" Countdown Thread

How? One could call him one of the greatest defenders of all time which is what so many around here said. There are a number of players in the history of the game who could have gotten more awards if the entire team set up was built around them. Awards are overrated too. For crying out loud...

Rudy Gobert "Greatest Jazz Center of All Time" Countdown Thread

That's true too. Rudy is an asset, but his game doesn't always translate against every opponent. That's why he's a $20 million player in my opinion. Excellent in certain matchups but not every match up. His $40+ million should be spread out to 2 or 3 centers (a rim protector, a small ball, a...

Rudy Gobert "Greatest Jazz Center of All Time" Countdown Thread

Rudy is a very good player, but his offensive limitations always held us back and clearly made his contract ridiculous for us. Kessler won't be Rudy on defense, but he's a great center to have for the modern day center rotation. For "Rudy" money, we should be able to have 2 or 3 good C options...

Rudy Gobert "Greatest Jazz Center of All Time" Countdown Thread

Rudy Gobert is the most overrated Jazz player of all time. Rudy was a good player that looked legendary due to a system that was never going to work when it actually matters. When everything is built around you, any good player is going to shine.

Game Thread Jan 10, 2023 07:00PM MT: Jazz vs Cavaliers

This place never changes. He was never appreciated and built around in Utah. That's what he craved but we never gave. He's getting that in Cleveland. He didn't bash Utah. He just said he's glad he was traded because he's now valued how he wants to be valued. But you guys will spin away....

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Don only figured out it couldn't happen in Utah when Utah traded him. Wasn't there just a story that Hardy and Don were eating dinner and excited to work together after Hardy was hired and before Don was traded? I could be wrong. Don was done with having to deal with Rudy and mediocrity. I...

    Donovan Mitchell 71 points

They still let you post your garbage in here? Seems like I haven't missed much. Don was tired of the team built around Rudy with Quin's limited ideas. We all knew that wasn't going anywhere - Don included. We will never know if Don would have been happy and stayed with the team built around...

Mitchell outdoes Luka for NBA performance of the year

You're right but people on here are too stubborn to admit they were wrong. Gobert was overrated and looked great because we literally ran everything to his strengths and tried to avoid his weaknesses. Quin was a solid coach who couldn't evolve to embrace any vision without Rudy. Don is a...

Amazing player who had a legendary performance. It will always be stupid that we traded him. Hardy and Don could have been a terrific pairing. Go Jazz but always good luck Don from me. Side note: Gobert is doing exactly what I said he would do.
