Dang it, Hardy has just enough (barely) to do something. Add this signing to a well rested/leveled up Lauri, Sexton, JCx2, Walker and we could get some early wins.
Dang it all...
You could lower the cap more with that trade with Sac and then look at Okoro. Okoro can't shoot so it helps with the losses this season. You do it for Okoro if you feel his shooting will improve. But all his others tools are great.
Get Ingram and wait and decide next summer on what to do. Maybe trade him next summer, maybe resign him. I just like getting off of the Collins salary.
Also, mess with the roster construction hardcore so that there is no rim protection and you only have rookies + sophomores in your guard...
No, they could have messed around with 10ish million without impacting the Lauri deal. We far exceeded the available cap to do the Lauri deal as evidenced by the 4 mill
I am just a Internet troll in some form or another. You can make your points but I can squawk away too. I don't have all...

No 15 million as far understood it to be. If Lauri took 24 million the first year it would be 11 million. But whatever Lauri took less money his first year for a reason. Again this is a guess, but Cy wants to get worked up by that then be my guest. :). Lol
Not necessarily. Or maybe they don't if want to avoid being crippled by the apron then maybe they just let him go. He is a bad shooter but young and could get better. But yeah I guess they may want to do a sign and trade if they feel they are losing out. New CBA may lead to situations like this.
It's just a guess but the Jazz have been signaling to other GM's that their extra cap is not available for dumps. So we have been guessing what their scheme has been and this has been one of the guesses.
A well rested Lauri at his peak and soft early schedule versus all the worn-out past their peak all stars doesn't mean more losses for the Jazz. The Jazz could start fast and then slowly fade back in the standings.
And, I think most will hate this....but I love the unconventional.
In a trade with the Pels I would offer Collins and the Pels the 2025 Utah pick if the Jazz fall in the 8 or 9 position only. That is just outside the all-star range and we save all the other picks and it would be super...
The West is overloaded. You just have to be very weak at a couple spots to tank. Trade Sexton, Walker, Collins, JC and the tank is on. Regardless if we have Ingram or not. We get the high pick this year and then start the transition the next year and just hope the swaps help us for 2026.
