    Story of The Season: Injuries

Lack of star player is a problem to win it all or go very deep, not to qualify for the playoffs. Point guard first and injuries second as reasons for this comeupshortance.

    Story of The Season: Injuries

A healthy Burks off the bench does carry some great punch for next year though.

    Story of The Season: Injuries

This. This team had ups and downs, injuries, but the PG issue was a structural issue the whole season : Burke is a bust as a starting PG (it happens, his future is at best as a DJ Augustin/Nate Robinson Thibodeau type offensive dynamo off the bench, at best), Exum who struggled mightily last...

ESPN: Defensive Player of the Month: Rudy GOATBEAR

I love Rudy and no way he should be benched, but I still feel the knee misshap has had lingering effects in his mobility / agility + a form of fatigue I suppose from playing a lot more in the last 15 months tha in his whole carreer so far !

    Trey Burke

His very limited skill set, scoring with limited efficiency, is not needed with this team considering all the negatives in his game. When you have Hayward, Hood and Favors scoring at a solid clip, if you can only score, but less efficiently than them, and can't defend lick nor set up your...

There is a game tonight right? - PHX Game Thread!!!!

Sadly yes, Burke is a gone, too expensive for what he brings, not very good. Some team might give us a second rounder for him if we are lucky, but I have very significant doubts on his future in the NBA to be honest. I'd wager that in 2 years he'll be gone from the league.

Official We Don't Need Hayward; Trade him.

Money will become an issue before that for a star or for budgetary reasons consolidation will have to happen at some point sadly.

Official We Don't Need Hayward; Trade him.

trading Hayward now would make no sense, but I suppose all options are on the table for the FO later on and rightfully so : Keept the team growing, hopefully we make the Playoffs, keep all players improving and at some point decisions will have to be made in regards to personnel to try and go to...

    Why is Gobert useless now?

Useless is a of course an overstatement : Gobert is better scouted and also more mentally and physically worn than last year. last year he released 18 months of frustration in those 4 months (jan-april) of becoming a big part of the team. He was fresh, he was hungry, he wanted to prove everybody...

I'm just glad we didn't draft Devin Booker

these threads are ridiculous : In every single draft for like 28 or 29 teams there are players they "shouda" drafted with their pick instead of somewhat esle because hey they have better stats and all. Fans can bitch every single year for almost every single team about drafting x instead of y...

Is the projected core FATALLY FLAWED?

Of course, but no team in the league is going to get Lillard or Davis or someone like that in a trade... When Boston got Garnett he was deemed in decline and Allen was not the same anymore, etc.. My example is just an example but put Love in a team that is really good on D and can not only help...

Is the projected core FATALLY FLAWED?

Agreed, but the best chance to get it (outside a Gobert type of draft steal) is to play as well as possible with the current team so that you might find yourself in a position to trade (for example's sake, don't shoot me) Favors and Burks for Kevin Love, hoping for Kevin Love to be able to again...

Is the projected core FATALLY FLAWED?

Probably, but it doesn't mean developping the team as much as possible isn't the right thing to do : You developp your young team, take it as far as you can BUT know that it can't go further and are ready to swing for the fences when a deal becomes available. Say we miss the POs by little this...

Would you trade Gobert for #1 Draft Pick?

The question is stupid... there are only 12ish players at best in the whole league that gms wouldn't trade for the 1st pick and gobert is not one of them. Doesn't mean he isn't a fantastic player to have...black or white just leaves no room for analysis.

The dynastic Warriors and the mediocre Jazz

isn't that the exact post he or his previous incarnation made a couple of times already ? stfo.

    Trade for Zach Lavine

tbh I don't understand why all fans on all boards are all suddenly cry for Lavine, like he is the reincarnation of Jordan... The guy sure is a monstruous athlete, but he is bad on D, he has poor decision making, is small for a SG but lacks vision for a PG... Honestly I am not sure he is a good...

    Exum

If Exum is fully rehab and has had 5 on 5 practice time with the team and is basically ready to play, you play him. No point in waiting 5 months more, even if it's only a few games or some minutes in the play offs, it's just so valuable as way to learn and improve. But you go through the...

Jazz VS Dallas Game Thread - WE WON!!!!!!

With Gasol breaking his foot there are very good chances of making the playoffs if we don't screw it up. Even better, if we could be 6th or better, we would avoid the Warriors and Spurs and even though this young and naive team remains very likely to lose, our chances are there...

    Rudy Gobert's "Jump Shot"

Him trying new things on O is a good thing. You want him to stay focus on D where he knows exactly what he does, but if on O he tries a couple of things a game, ie try to execute things he's been practicing, it's a good thing. Sure it was ugly, but he tried it, and that's good !

GT: Your Utah Jazz vs. Denver Buttnuggets, 2/3 7pm MST

Well he better get better somewhere else because what is at stake is his future in the NBA : he might not last very very long at this stage !
