I am still always shocked by how many years we draft one of the few guys we didnt bring in to a workout. Its a weird phenomenon that leaves me scratching my head. Does this mean we are less likely to draft Sorber? Yang is our man?

Who is worth more, Bane or Lauri? Bane is cheaper by about $8 - $10 million per year. Lauri is a way more unique archetype.

Just a reminder of the value of a second tier star can bring. Does Lauri for the 2nd pick straight up sound so crazy now? And if we had Harper and Bailey / VJ / Tre from the draft wouldn't that be exciting now?

My draft priorities: - Trade up without overpaying for the #2. Lauri for the #2 for example. Most people feel like that isnt enough but getting an All Star for the #2 pick is fair trade value in most drafts especially with other draft considerations. - If not then stay at 5 and pick the guy...

NIL money keeping guys in college feels like it is going to make 2025 - 2027 second round picks wait an extra year until they are ready. That lag will catchup in a year or two. Trading 2025 second round picks for future second round picks sounds like an easy way to increase their value.

The locked on Jazz intl draft specialist guy raved about Hugo saying he was by far the best Euro player at the events he has seen. Givony said something similar in a podcast raving about him knowing how to play due to his time in the REAL Madrid academy. Thats all I know about Hugo.
