I know the game and hate it. Either they are too lazy (busy) to care, or they are “saving face” for a month later when their first option backs out or quits and they have to call you and pretend you were the first option but they had “approval delays”.

This works every time for me because my car is less expensive than theirs. I usually use this on people that try to not let me in after I turn on my blinker though. I might have to use it on tailgaters as well, combined with my no brake slow down until they back off completely.
