Probably VJ if we're being honest, but it depends if the 76ers keep holding him out.
For the Jazz, probably Flip. His rebounding and playmaking likely make him more impactful than Brice overall.
Other guys who have looked good are Topic, Bona, Wells and GG Jackson.
I wonder how the Jazz are going to use Kyle Anderson. He played limited minutes for the Warriors and Heat last year, basically a 15 - 18-min. backup. I think he's mostly a 4 these days.
The consensus at the moment appears to be that the top 5 are Peterson, Dybantsa, Boozer, Mikel Brown and Nate Ament. Then there's really solid talent in Cenac, Lopez, Yessoufou and maybe Quaintance.
5 - Walker / Nurkic
4 - Lauri / Flip / Hendricks (min. restr.)
3 - Ace / Cody / Svi
2 - Keyonte v. Brice -- this could flip either way during camp & pre-season
1 - Collier (for now) / WCJ
- Collier is still the best guard we have at running the offense and pushing tempo for the moment. That...
Grizzlies will probably start GG Jackson, Jaylen Wells and Armando Bacot tonight. GG is now 20 y.o. and about 6'9" / 220 lbs. He's looked athletic and had some strong dunks last game. See what our guys Ace and Cody look like when they're matched up.
Jazz will take the best talent they can get wherever they're drafting. Yes, on-ball creation would be nice, but if you can get Boozer or Dybantsa, take it and run. The Jazz can pick up an on-ball guard or wing somewhere down the road.
As it stands now, the Jazz still have three picks in the '27...
I’m wondering if the Jazz made a deal around the draft to give the Hornets Sexton for Nurkic in exchange for not trading the 4th pick to Washington. But it’s probably just tinfoil hat theory.
Put this on ice?
I'm going through it now. There are three teams that are genuinely competitive in OKC, DEN and HOU. Then there should be a group of teams with mid-40s wins. Then there's just a malaise of low 40s and below.
OKC - Could have won 70 games last year if they wanted to.
HOU -...
Again, watching the game live, Ace was exhausted in the 2nd half. That's why he was taken out of the game. He was grabbing his shorts, gasping for air and could barely keep his feet under him. He needs the summer to work himself into shape, and hopefully by pre-season he'll start looking...
