Yeah, I'm fine with odds, but there should be a limit on how often you qualify to jump up.

No doubt, and they need matchups on national broadcast days that bring in high ratings. Otherwise they lose out on future tv deals. They need the ratings. I'm sure with revenue sharing all the teams will make a lot off of these "decisions".

Game Thread NBA Draft Lottery - May 12, 2025

Until they do the draft in front of the cameras, I'll continue to think it is rigged. The Luka trade was too suspect, which is why I, along with many others, believed they'd be rewarded in the lottery. The Spurs must have some damn good blackmail evidence against Adam Silver as no team is that...

Why the Jazz were so bad defensively?

Bad shots and turnovers lead to a lot of easy buckets that are hard to defend. The Jazz also have a number of subpar defenders. Just a lot of poor/inexperienced decision making. In tanking years it doesn't matter, but if there isn't a major turnaround you have to start looking at coaching.

The FINAL COUNTDOWN - 50 Days to go

Jazz will not get the #1 pick. If I am wrong I'll change my name to The Gold Douche. Hope my name changing predictions are as accurate as @Douchebag K's...

    Project Hail Mary

Been listening to the audiobook on road trip w wife over the past year. Still a couple hours to go. Project Hail Mary could also be the title of Utah's tank season.

Lakers sure could have used Mark Williams tonight. No answer for Rudy.

Plane passenger strips and defecates on the seat during the flight.

Back in my day people had a thing called respect. Sure, we still got naked and pooped on airplane seats, but it damn sure wasn't our seat, unless we used a toilet seat cover.

If the NBA Draft Lottery is rigged, where will we land?

Repayment for giving Luka to LA. Or maybe granting them the move to Vegas will be enough.

If the NBA Draft Lottery is rigged, where will we land?

New tv deal and pressure to get high ratings. It is a business, not a sport. If the Jazz get the #1 pick, I'll change my tune. When Dallas gets it, we'll all know why.

Trump Dictatorship and All Things Politics

Yep, and the ocean current moves it north up near Coronado. It smells like **** at those beaches quite often. So much corruption in Tijuana. Many new homes sewage is connected to storm drains so even if they fix the sewer treatment plants the problems will continue.

Trump Dictatorship and All Things Politics

If we are conditioning tariffs on Mexico, we should make them clean up their Tijuana sewage mess. Most of it goes into the river up to San Diego making the water toxic to swim in and the air to breathe. Biden gave them millions to fix it and it all disappeared with none being used to fix their...

Solving For Tanking, We're smart, let's figure it out

Make any team not over the cap for more than one day in the prior season eligible for the lottery. If you are in the luxury tax you lose your draft pick which would be added in as a lottery pick for all other eligible teams. Will incentivize teams to make smart contracts, and cause the...

    Trades for/out of #1

Jazz are not getting #1. Watch one of the low odd teams that could net the highest ratings (Spurs, Miami, or more likely Dallas as a thank you for putting Luka in LA). League #s are down and they want as high as ratings going into the new tv deals. Would not be surprised in the least.

As you wish. This is the classic version I heard as a kid: There once was a man from Nantucket, Who kept all his dreams in a bucket. But then came a dame, He'd heard not her name, Who smiled and said, “Sir, let’s up-chuck it.” She danced in the night with a wink, With moves that would make...
