Just heard on Locked On from David Locke that Tony Jones is moving out of Utah as the Athletic no longer feels a need to have a full time reporter covering the Jazz.
This sucks.
He couldnt go NCAA even if he wanted to after playing a year professionally. They probably just thought it was better for his development/stock, but yeah, seems like a crazy decision to me.
Really curious how he does in the Euro league. On one of the better teams. Think if he takes it seriously and show he can play efficiently for 2-3 years he gets another NBA chance
No they shouldnt. Not enough minutes to develop young players. And they will have two first round picks in the next draft, then another 2 in the next draft, and another two in the next.
Being excited for the Jazz is just engrained into my DNA at this point. The low stakes of it all just gives me less anxiety. It's like drinking green tea vs a red bull
Hoops Nerd aka James Hansen?
He's mostly insufferable. I mostly remember him for being unapologetically high on Exum (even after it was pretty clear his ceiling was being a bench role player) and him trashing anyone who played over him (namely Rubio). Seems like now his thing is the Jazz have...
Yeah, but I do think Monk is, when he is on, a positive player and better than Sexton. His defense isn't as bad and he's become a good playmaker (a notch above Sexton imo). The main issue is that he has the Clarkson quality of being an inconsistent volume shooter.
But yeah, just overpaid and...
Is Monk considered a negative asset? He's been pretty solid the last 3 years in Sac, but I guess he's kind of overpaid in the new CBA landscape where no one wants to pay starter money to a 6th man who is an inconsistent shooter and a negative defensively.
