Who will be the starting point guard on opening night?

All but one of the possible players are combo guards, and i hate starting combo guards. Unfortunately, the only non combo guard the team is on a make good contract and is close to thirty years old, seems a waste to give time to him and not use the twenty milish per year other players. it's...

    Rudy Gay waived

https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/272548/Thunder-Waive-Rudy-Gay Why waive a player when you can trade him for a twenty per game scorer and have them waive him instead. good move.

Paul Reed signs 3 yr 24mil offer sheet with Jazz

wouldn't it be funny if we traded for him next offseason after olynyk's contract runs out because he is 'underutilized'?

Paul Reed signs 3 yr 24mil offer sheet with Jazz

when the signing happened, i found myself trying to justify it while calming myself down about how it would limit time for the rookies and also trying to figure out how he fit on the team. i, like many, felt a bit of relief when it was matched. as for his comment, i doubt he understands the...

Paul Reed signs 3 yr 24mil offer sheet with Jazz

i mean, he might be good, but we have a bunch of 6'9 guys already, kind of thinking we should develop them.

Really wanted to keep him around I’m sad about this

    Clarkson Opts In

not a single person has mentioned that clarkson just turned 31. kudos to him for being so loveable that he transcends the timeline, but do we want to extend a guy who is over thirty to a multiyear? when is he going to start to decline? i guess if it's a decreasing contract than this could...

    THT has opted in

The way i see it, Dunn is the one that doesn't fit the timeline at 29, just like Clarkson doesn't. it seems that there are three 'timelines' going on here, the almost thirtyish (Clarkson, Dunn, Olynyk) the 25ish (Lauri, Collins, Fontechio, Sexton) and the newbies (All this year and last year's...

    THT Extension

The way i see it, Dunn is the one that doesn't fit the timeline at 29, just like Clarkson doesn't. it seems that there are three 'timelines' going on here, the almost thirtyish (Clarkson, Dunn, Olynyk) the 25ish (Lauri, Collins, Fontechio, Sexton) and the newbies (All this year and last year's...

    Jazz trade for John Collins

Readig the Taylor Hendricks thread, everyone is concerned that he is raw, flawed and won't be a star. The Jazz have traded for a guy who can be his mentor and give him time to develop his shot, and right about the time that Taylor hits his stride, John's contract will be up and the team can...

    So what about Luka Samanic?

I was looking at roster placement and saw a name that i didn't recognize, Luka Samanic. (i haven't been able to watch games ever since i cut the dish, but now HeckYeah) Is he any good? his stats seem ok for where he came from. Yeah, he's probably pretty far down the bench but i'm just curious...

What should the Jazz do with the 28th Pick?

we were a few (possibly tanking) injuries away from the playoffs last season, and we will have a lottery pick and more team chemistry next year. that means i like a lot of the players we have now. if we draft three firsts, that's three players that get pushed off the end of the stick. better...

    Welcome to Utah, Cason Wallace

it could have been worse, we could have dropped as many as three spots, so i'm good with 9

    Let's Go Rudy & Mike

ooh, yeah, if rudy and mike win it all, than all of his teammates will think that they deserve max contracts, and either max out their salary cap/luxury tax or demand to be traded or leave in free agency which will maker our future picks from them better.

Jazz sign center Vernon Carey Jr.

well this is different, the team is signing camp invitees in the sunset of the previous season. i know that during the summer you can't take any signings that aren't guaranteed seriously, i guess this one will be similar.

Jazz sign Luka Samanic to 10-day contract

what is harder, to change one's game or one's attitude? honest question. kanter never did, but it should be possible. well, either way he isn't expensive so sure, why not.

    Dok

He shouldn't be paid what his extension would have been, but at his size and age a lower contract would be fine. that is only if there is room, we do have possibly three first round picks coming.

How Much $$$ Should Jazz Throw at Austin Reaves?

Saint Cy of JFC said: It's not only about the stereotype, it's the irony that white guys are bagging on white guys. it's like a blonde saying blond jokes, or even worse, a polish guy doing polish jokes. have some pride my dudes, and also in a weird way, stereotyping white guys indirectly...

Jazz Sign Kris Dunn for ROS + 1-Year

there are two kinds of 'age' in the NBA. obviously there is how many years they have been alive, but in this case it's the mileage (or lack thereof) that matters. Dunn is soon to be 29, sure, but he has spent so little actual game time in his career, he's probably closer to 24/25 in his...

Jazz Sign Kris Dunn for ROS + 1-Year

you don't have to sit a guy down and give them step by step training for them to learn from you. they can just watch how you execute the offence while they are on the bench and apply it to their own games. they still learn without a word being spoken.
