Who am I rooting to lose this season?

We have swap rights with Cleveland and Minnesota, but it's only applicable if we don't convey our pick (top 8 protected) and one of them has a better pick than us. With flattened odds having either Cleveland or Minnesota in the lottery improves our chances at a top 4 pick, but we would want...

    Will the Jazz Overachieve?

In this scenario the Jazz finish 7th in the west, but lose in the play in, and then win the lottery and keep their pick.

If the Jazz are better than expected it's because...

You are correct. Technically Lauri averaged 18.97 pts/game and John averaged 18.95. The point doesn't change. Lauri averaged 8 more points per game than Collins in 23/24. Nobody expected them to average practically the same points per game last year, yet it happened. It's not super likely...

If the Jazz are better than expected it's because...

Lauri is the obvious and expected answer, but I wouldn't have thought there was any chance that John Collins was our leading scorer last year. I don't think the probability that Keyonte leads us in PPG is high, but I don't think it's 0.

If the Jazz are better than expected it's because...

    Our FGA/100Possesions last year: - Clarkson - 24.1 - Sexton - 23.4 - Lauri - 22.4 - Keyonte - 20.6 - Collins - 20.5 There are going to be a lot of shots to get distributed around. I'm guessing Keyonte's FGAs go up.

Just throwing this thought/question out there: - What is the probability that Keyonte is our leader in ppg this year?

    Following Potential 2026 Draftees

"Might" be, I'm not saying that he is, this all based off of very limited data. I know and understand that Lopez is the highest ranked guy currently. I'll just note that development isn't linear and I don't know if Lopez has shown much growth yet where De Larrea has. There is still a lot of...

He was promising, but in a limited role, and didn't quite look the part yet, in my opinion. He looks significantly more NBA ready in the very limited film I've seen so far.

Dyson and Dash are similar in that they are both defensively oriented guards, but they go about it differently. Dyson is more of a pest/disruptor, but Dash is more of a versatile defender that relies on strength and positioning. At least that's my take after very limited film.

I've watched a little bit of preseason to get a first look at the rookies. Unfortunately a lot of guys haven't played because of injuries. - Cooper looked really good. He already looks like he belongs and is going to help win games. - V.J. has had moments, but looks like a typical rookie...

Overreaction to preseason time: I watched the OKC C team put up 70 in the first half against the Charlotte A team. Here are some thoughts running through my head: - How is OKC this far ahead of the league? - Charlotte will definitely be steep competition for the tank race. - Charlotte is...
