What should the FO do if we are 0.500 by January?

Also, remember this is a hypothetical. I don't actually believe we will be at 0.500 on January 1st.

What should the FO do if we are 0.500 by January?

I thought about adding that as a poll option, but it's pretty close to play it straight, especially since I said our record was on the back of playing our young guys.

I think we are approaching the point where Kessler shooting wide open 3's isn't just cute, but maybe legit. The unrushed shot looks pretty good, and if teams start closing, even better.

Jackpotting Around - Trick or Treat

For one of my previous jobs I spent some time in Switzerland and eating Swiss chocolate kind of ruined me, specifically my favorite is Cailler Chocolate. Nothing in the U.S. comes close. Caramello is one of my favorites though. I like Twix, Snickers, Peanut Butter M&Ms, and milky ways as...

What should the FO do if we are 0.500 by January?

FWIW, 0.500 on January 1st would be 15wins and 15 losses. I can see arguments for each position, so I'm kind of waiting for someone to sway me.

For Svi? I'm not sure if it would make that much impact.

What should the FO do if we are 0.500 by January?

This isn't a discussion about how probable it is for us to be 0.500 by January, but just a hypothetical in to how Jazzfanz posters think. Just pretend that we are 0.500 and in a play in position in the West. We clearly aren't a contender, but we are doing this on the backs of our young guys...

Yeah, curious to not have Brice or Svi, but I suppose it was supposed to be a reward for bringing us back in to the game.

    Elijah Harkless Hype Thread

Please Please Please sign this guy to a long term deal, and Please Please Please carve out at least 10mpg for him to wreck the other team's offense. The second and third quarters of the game last night were so painful watching us show no resistance. The 4th quarter was my favorite quarter of...

TS% accounts for FTs where EFG% doesn't. So TS% is probably better/more comprehensive of how efficiently someone is scoring. Traditionally it's easier for me to think about efg% because I know that above 50% is ok, and that's an easy number to remember. League average TS% is like 55-60% and...

I don't know if Cody will be as good of a tank commander this year, especially if he's playing in a lineup where he just has to focus on playing defense and making a quick decision to shoot/pass/drive on offense.

It's interesting that Kyle Anderson is not getting any minutes. I thought he had a chance to be in the starting lineup and it appears he's below Harkless and Cody in the rotation.

I thought this was a great example of Keyonte's improved maturity. He had some really bad mistakes early in the game, but was able to not spiral out of control and play winning basketball in the 4th quarter. I was concerned he would have a bad game against the type of defense that Portland...

    Keyonte's EFG% was only 50%, but his TS% was 70.4%

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

CMB had started his career making 5 of his first 8 3pt attempts. It's not that impressive since they have mostly been wide open, but it's still surprising. His shot is super slow, but looks way better than it did in college. The coaching staff has said that because he didn't have any shot...

That's fair. I think chucking up shots is his natural tendency. The regular season NBA game is currently too fast for him, so I think he is reverting to his natural tendency. I think he's coachable and I think things will slow down at some point and I think he'll look better soon.

2025-2026 Tank Race Prediction Contest and Current Results Thread

My current expectations is the 6th pick. I think we end up with the 4th or 5th worst record and get passed by one or two teams in the lottery. We're probably like 8th worst record by the all star break and then get more aggressive about losing.

He's coming off what seems to be a bad illness and it's still super early. Even Cooper has mostly looked bad. It would be nice to get a morale boosting game here soon, but I won't panic for another 10 games or so.

2025-2026 Tank Race Prediction Contest and Current Results Thread

For some reason I had it in my mind that they just shifted years, traded an unprotected 2026 pick for an unprotected 2028 or something like that. You are right, trading a 23rd pick for an unprotected pick was bad, not nearly as bad as the Atlanta trade, but still bad.
