I fully believe that with Brice and Hendricks, in particular, there are a couple of doghouse issues that Hardy has. I'm guessing that Brice needs to show a couple of awareness-level issues on defense, for example. You can't just be an unaware turnstile...

If these guys are playing themselves into the play-in, then you let them get at least a year of playoff experience together before you start spending assets to optimize around them.

If Hendricks's on-the-court development isn't a huge storyline this year, then I'm going to be pissed. He's easily in the top-3 or top-4 jazz players that matter the most to the longer-term trajectory of this team (over the next 3 to 5 seasons).
