Nice run with Blake Griffin -> John Wall -> Damian Lillard
Haven't seen an All-Star caliber player win it in 13 years. Lonzo had a chance before injuries, Keegan and Hart are high level pieces, and a lot of good rotation pieces. Really interested to see how Flip starts the year.
I am a bit confused by the number of "yeah but we all thought he looked great in summer league last year" comments. Does anyone have any stats or more specific memories? Can't find any
I remember him being a disaster in Salt Lake and then better but pretty bad in Vegas last year. I felt like...
Lot of ways to rank this, mine is based on what I think is the median outcome for their career. Someone like Key has a higher median outcome imo but a lower ceiling for us to hope for
1. Ace Bailey
2. Walker Kessler
3. Kyle Filipowski (lot of question marks on defense, but a decent playmaking...

Portland is living the dream, they actually get to have their cake and eat it too (though the cake is injured now)
I love to hear that, hopefully his brother is gassing him up hard (super cool he's been out in Vegas watching all his games). Jalen was a no-star recruit and three year player at a mid major, obviously they are not the same person but I hope it gives Cody confidence that the player he was his...

Wonder if it's the same waiver structure as Dame's. I still think about all Phoenix news in regards to how they can fail in 2031, but six years is a long *** time
I really talked myself into it when I thought about getting the #3 pick, but man I am happy we are not in the Paul George business

I am a lot higher on Cody having another contract after his rookie contract than I was before summer league.
While not perfect or overly exciting, he definitely looks improved and seems like he could be a real role player someday. I know the potential of "could be a real role player" is brutal...
My opinion is that fans waaaay overrate their rookies relative to other rookies, and really underrate their sophomores/juniors relative to other sophomores/juniors (for non-star players). We focus on what they're not while still viewing these other players that we don't know as well for what...
I still think you see your friends and other vets get traded/waived and you are staring down showing up to training camp with a team that is 80% under 22 and start to feel a bit out of place.
Yeah, intentionally waiting to sign after the date where we could trade him last year definitely feels like he was on board with the direction communicated to him. I definitely believe Ainge sold him on the ramp up, I bet he talked about him as the Paul Pierce in him building something like the...
No it did not haha.
Perception changes daily with young prospects though. Wouldn't be surprised for him to have a huge game against OKC tonight and for us all to be talking about which All-star he most reminds us of again
I'm not sure I understand. My vote for summer league MVP was WCJ for that exact reason.
I think Brice/Flip could get shut down. Kessler/Hendricks/Keyonte were all shut down for the third game last year. But I bet WCJ plays all 3.
