Agreed that's why I posted the 3 way with Pels where a future pick would be coming back to the Jazz and Spurs moving down to #7.

How about this idea expanding on a few rumors: To Spurs: Lauri, #7 from New Orleans To Jazz: #2 from Spurs, Barnes, K.Johnson, 2026 FRP from Pels To Pels: #5 from Jazz Spurs acquire Lauri while moving down to #7. Jazz move to #2 to draft a potential star in Harper and add a '26 FRP to their...

Nice. I was going to suggest Denver but didn't realize Braun was in line for such a big extension. They are likely stuck with the Murray contract too. It could make alot of sense to trade MPJ for multiple rotation players on expiring deals given their financial constraints. Nuggets could...

The Celtics don't have a chance next season after the Tatum injury. It's basically a gap year for them. Their main concern appears to be dumping as much money as possible and maybe reload again in 1-2 years when Tatum gets back. By that time Jrue will likely be totally washed. He was already...

You don't think Jazz would give up Collins/Sexton for a contract+ unprotected '31 Bucks FRP? That's really what we are talking about...not Dame. That pick is the exact kind of asset they should go after and the type of shrewd acquisition Presti was making during their rebuild. Not to mention...

All I can find is that the investigation into gambling is still ongoing. The Heat let him play sporadically after it came public but he didn't play in the postseason for them.

Collins probably does have value on his expiring but I doubt any team is going to extend him on his current contract.

I stole this idea from RealGM: To Miami: Sexton, Collins, #43, #53 To Jazz: Rozier, Robinson, #20 Robinson is on an expiring/partial guarantee for next season and Rozier will also be an expiring. I realize Ainge drafted Rozier but personally wouldn't let him set foot in the building while...

If Mobley and Don are their franchise players they need guys around them that fit. Garland is a nice RS player but has been injured and/or awful in the playoffs. This year he had as many turnovers as assists in that Indiana series and shot 17% on 3's. He was also hunted by the Pacer guards...

With Cavs being in 2nd apron it's near impossible for them to acquire Lauri. They can't aggregate players in a trade and their big tradable salaries such as Garland and Allen make less than Lauri. Don's extension kicks in for next season and will match Lauri's salary but they aren't doing that.

Jackpotting Around Podcast: Episode 38 - Fake Trade Ideas - Lauri Markkanen

Not sure I understand all the lol's but yeah Philly and Milwuakee have bad contracts in Dame/PG, although that doesn't make Lauri's any better. Those teams made bad mistakes trying to add a #2 next to their superstar. I'd trade Lauri for PG if Philly hands over their lottery pick which at this...

    Big Picture Stuff

Be prepared to be disappointed because Tony Jones already leaked they currently have no intention of trading up. Based on his tweets I'm going to believe they end up with either Ace or Tre...whoever falls to 5 assuming Charlotte picks VJ. Tony believes all 3 are in the same tier with similar...

Jackpotting Around Podcast: Episode 38 - Fake Trade Ideas - Lauri Markkanen

I'll take a listen later on tonight. With that said whoever takes on Lauri better have a bunch of cap flexibility. In hindsight Lauri probably shouldn't be making $46 mil next season especially when SGA will "only" be making $38 mil. Of the list above, Detroit might be the best fit as Cade is...

I would do this trade...might even throw in #21 if it's a deal breaker for them. Hoping the Spurs aren't looking for a bigger fish such as Giannis with all their assets. Ofc it would suck to see Lauri in San Antonio but he's going to be at least 30 by the time Jazz are seriously ready to start...

    2025 Off-Season Trade Ideas Thread

There's a fairly steep drop after the top 2 in this draft. Harper does look like he could be a potential lefty Cade Cunningham. If the Spurs are willing to trade down to 5 I might not quibble too much by demanding extra picks (although I'm sure Ainge would likely try to do so). The fact is...

I really think the NBA wants Giannis in San Antonio to form a super team with Wemby that will garner international viewing interest.

Assuming Ace and VJ are left on the board at 4 I could see the Hornets and Jazz swapping spots for a small price. Hornets already drafted Brandon Miller so I could see them preferring VJ over Ace. If Ace gets past the 3rd pick I believe there's a fairly decent chance the Jazz can get him. If...

    Following Potential 2025 Draftees

I'm hoping for Ace or even Maluach at this point. They desperately need someone with length who possesses some skill. I'm assuming Lauri is not here long term. Last night's lottery result was the nail in the coffin for that outcome. I get what they were trying to do with the Hendricks and...

Trade Lauri for The 3rd Pick

Agreed this team now has zero chance to compete during Lauri's timeline. I'd be fine if they basically start from scratch by drafting #3 and #5. I imagine they would probably need to take back the PG contract in such a deal? With Dallas at #1 and the Spurs at #2 either one of those teams...

Who should we pick at #5?

What a major disappointment. Anyway I think they somehow end up with Ace. Either he falls or they trade up a slot or two. Ainge basically started the Celtic rebuild drafting two SFs/big wings in Brown and Tatum.
