Grayson is such an efficient role player. His prime is being wasted in Phoenix.

So far Markkanen has been playing way more physical than the last season. I just hope that his body can take all that contact.

Ace is being patient and letting other, more experienced players to set him up.

Also, I really hope that Ace finally has a semi-decent game, because in his first two games he arguably was worse than Cody a year ago.

Ace has shown zero reasons to start him so far. He would be just fine cutting his teeth against fellow bench players: forcing him to defend Booker would be just cruel.

Keyonte or Walter Clayton Jr, who has the better career?

From what I saw Collier is extremely fast to recognize when any teammate gains some space from his defender for just a second - and Collier immediately shoots a quick pass to him just in time. That is how he gets a lot of his assists. Collier can effortlessly monitor several players while...

It won't be easy. The Suns have no bigs and would struggle against the tall frontcourt that the Jazz started in the previous games. The Suns run the starting lineup of 4 guards and a mediocre PF, who is a bad rebounder and not a shot blocker.

Keyonte or Walter Clayton Jr, who has the better career?

It would be really funny if Collier comes in with a much improved jumper and takes the PG spot for good. I mean, I don't really expect it to happen but he exists and he is the best passer by far. And there were cases when young players markedly improved their shooting in their second year.

Keyonte or Walter Clayton Jr, who has the better career?

Compared to Walt Keyonte was in a very different situation development-wise. And it is not just because Walt played one more season. WCJ got to play in a structured basketball environment for a good team were every game mattered and everyone cared about the wins... while Keyonte spent two years...

    No Extension for Walker Kessler?

The same Jerry Sloan consistently played Ostertag and the Jazz offense was just fine.

Keyonte or Walter Clayton Jr, who has the better career?

Reading it more closely, you are asking two different questions: "who has a better career" and "place your bet on our future PG." The answers could be different.

Keyonte or Walter Clayton Jr, who has the better career?

One thing that may actually swing the relative career trajectories for Clayton and Keyonte is the playing style. Clayton plays very safely and under control, while Keyonte constantly barrels into the traffic, dunks, rapidly accelerates... You can see George on the floor quite often. That style...

Keyonte or Walter Clayton Jr, who has the better career?

WCJ has a high floor but Keyonte has a much higher ceiling. Walter is a good shooter, can get to the rim and can dribble better. But a lot of his success comes from being confident and playing within himself. He reminds me of Joe Ingles in that. I don't think that Clayton sees himself as a...

    Walt Clayton is a Dog

Yes? He indeed almost got a steal but then the Kings swung it to the corner and shot a three. At that moment Clayton was standing at top of the key, out of the play and ball watching, while around the basket were FOUR Jazz players and no Sacramento players. There was not a chance that the...

    Taylor Hendricks Hype Thread

Or, maybe, we need to celebrate that Keyonte became one of the best passers in the NBA. Currently his APG is ahead of Young, Harden and Doncic.

    Taylor Hendricks Hype Thread

That is pure comedy. Taylor attempted 9 shots this season and had 9 rebounds. He took five 3-point shots. It is utterly meaningless to calculate any season averages and percentages before he plays at least 10 games.

    Too good to tank?

That, like, describes every single team that finished in the bottom 5 in the last several years. All of them would have been much higher if had they not tanked for at least a good chunk of the season. Had the Jazz played to win in every game during the last season they would have probably...

    Walt Clayton is a Dog

Except Clayton did not push pace after that rebound at 11.24 in the 2nd: he rarely does it (unlike Keyonte). He snatched the rebound away from our bigs and then slowly walked towards the midcourt line: Walter was the very last player to cross it. That's why I was so miffed by that whole...

    Walt Clayton is a Dog

Just watch Clayton's defensive rebound at 11.24 left in the 2nd quarter. There was nobody to fight: he just darted under the basket and, surrounded by our 3 bigs, snatched that juicy rebound. There were no Kings players anywhere in sight. It looked pretty bad, TBH.

Game Thread Oct 24, 2025 08:00PM MT: Utah Jazz @ Sacramento Kings

Our last botched play is exactly the type of plays where young players tend to mess up. If you really want to win, you never make your (barely) second-year player inbound to the (barely) third-year player for a game-winning shot with 5 seconds on the clock. Hardy used this play purely as a...
