That was a very satisfying win against the new “glamour” team. That team is built to compete now and we gave them a dose of humility. Props to all our Warriors, even Cody but mostly Colin and John with a strong shout out to Walker, Laurie, and Flip who always give 110%. I thought Collier was...

NBA Cup here we come! Not worried in the slightest about Cody either. The only aspect of his game that has been deficient is his outside shooting, his handle is solid, his defense is solid and he's totally solid playing in clutch time as well. Not a single turnover in the last two games; totally...

Worst team we’ve ever trotted out as I said before. When we signed an over the hill Paddy Mills to mentor our kiddy brigade, the writing was on the wall - TANK!

Who Was Worse: Rookie Cody or Rookie Dante?

“So far…does not appear to be made of glass” is actually much different than saying I know that he’s not made of glass.

Who Was Worse: Rookie Cody or Rookie Dante?

Sure, but to be fair, asked to fill a bigger role (Floor General) than Cody has to this point.

    Giannis trade?

Got it! You got me there!!!

Who Was Worse: Rookie Cody or Rookie Dante?

Dante was never really “that” terrible imo. He was made of glass (maybe still and I’ll always root for him). So far Cody does not appear to be made of glass. To my eye, he’s starting to fill out, and if he continues and stays healthy, that should make all the difference in his career arc I believe.

    Giannis trade?

Lyles has actually beaten Jazz fan expectations, stayed healthy and been a pretty reliable bench journeyman in this league.
  9. Isaiah 1:13

    Giannis trade?

Crazy right? I mean as rough as some of our young guys are looking now, I mean it’s Danny Ainge (and Zannik). Probably in the minority here but I have confidence that all our current Rooks are gonna have long viable careers. (CW came out too early, but I look at that kid that looks closer to...

I’m not going to go that far, but given the circumstances, it’s completely understandable imo.

Fair enough, probably not enough to make the case for Jalen’s absolute superiority at that age though. I mean, unless of course youre saying that Cody should have stayed in school another year. I really kinda wish the hell he had - cause stat wise, it couldn’t look much worse.

    Giannis trade?

Holy crap, is that ever depressing! I do kinda enjoy watching his sister Asia playing tennis however. But seriously, what in the hell were they thinking????

I’ve been watching a lot of Thunder games (best in the west) and watching his brother a lot for game or athletic comparisons which seem to be nonexistent. It’s weird because they don’t really even look like brothers tbh. Maybe half brothers, I mean they’re both tall, it’s just one can ball and...

    Giannis trade?

He’d almost have to be part of the deal. Call me crazy but i’d give him up before Kessler myself. Seeing the improvement and where he’s headed, I’m so glad we didn’t do a deal with New York. Only bright spot to this season that I can see.

    Likely Rebuild Timeline / Strategy

Stuck in the turnstile now. Over the past couple of years, we’ve managed to divest ourselves of all of the cagey veterans that could inspire the rag tags to embarrass the NBA elite teams. (I enjoyed that aspect, the occasional ambush of a Championship caliber team.) Kelly and Kris and Ochai and...

Saint Cy's Incredible Knowledge and Wisdom: Jazz Must Acquire Kyle Filipowski in the 2024 Draft

Good points but if Keyonte doesn’t come out of this funk soon Collier might get his real opportunity sooner than we think. Opportunity is everything in these comparisons imo and Collier has already convinced me with his combination of defense, handle and his ability to facilitate, including P &...

True! I will have to say that adding a clearly over the hill Paddy Mills hasn’t and won’t hurt us a bit in that regard.
  18. Isaiah 1:13

2 League leaders on the Jazz after 5 games.

You said it brother! Worse Jazz contingent I can remember. And that’s going way back before Corbin to the Frank Layden teams.

Minny & Cavs 2025 picks watch thread

Don’t expect any favors from the Cavs this season! My guy Kenny Atkinson finally saw an opportunity he liked and seems to be making the most of it with a win in the big apple over arch rival New York and a blow out win at home over a healthy and hungry Lakers squad! And still undefeated as you said.
