Here is a list of the top draft prospects we’ve drafted in the last 20 years:
Dante Exum at 5 in 2014
Enes Kanter at 3 in 2011
Deron Williams at 3 in 2005
I think the only one who has a real case is D-Will. Pretty crazy to think we just drafted the best draft prospect in our team’s history in...
Austin saying this was best case scenario is awesome. Such a stark contrast from saying Taylor Hendricks was 9th on our board and we drafted him 9th lol.
Ace was likely 3rd on our board if I put all of the pieces together.
I agree with everything except your feelings on him. I think he’s someone who could take a mini leap as the #1 guy.
We will find out if I’m right on that one way or the other.
The biggest thing it’s it’s too early but I do have to say if it was just 5 as the main draft capital (likely wouldn’t be just that) then it would make it more enticing because we’d have plenty of other firsts to use to upgrade the roster.
I’m just going to play devils advocate here since nobody else will.
Which star player are we allowed to trade for? 5-7 guys who will never become available?
How many more years of taking are we going to endure? What if we don’t land a top-3 pick again next year? Even being the worst team next...
I genuinely have no idea what you mean by that. We have a limited amount of time to talk to Tony, respectfully, I didn’t think it was wise to use any of that to talk about Will Riley or Hansen Yang.
