Quotes from Pacers' forums-"If giving up 152 points to the Jazz ain't rock bottom, then I don't know what is"

You know what's funny? We would see comments when we were a perennial playoff team and contending for the top record in the west if not the league, and in multiple eras, including the Williams/Boozer Jazz and the Mitchell/Gobert Jazz. Jazz are the Rodney Dangerfield of the NBA, get no respect...

Freak of nature, to be sure. Speaking of which, here are the freaks of basketball, 10 games into the season. So far just on a stats basis Jokic is pretty far ahead imho. Still maintaining the triple double average. The records for their teams are as follows: Spurs - 8/2 Nuggs - 8/2 Bucks - 7/4...

    Stupid Pet Peeves

Cats are straight vermin and the most destructive invasive species humans have ever created, hands-down. They should be eradicated as the spawn of demonic scum they are. But damn if they ain't cute and fun to pet and use a laser pointer to **** with them. Insidious bastards!

    Golf

They also seem to cycle through what makes a better club. First it was something like face-weighted, then great big clubs were the best, then smaller but faster clubs, then elongated, then, what do you know, face weighted again, Etc. Kind of funny.

    Golf

They are constantly making improvements or what they think are, or maybe better said, market as improvements, to the design, material, structure, dimensions, etc. of clubs. I watched an interesting video where they tested this and found that for the average golfer the different in clubs came...

    Golf

I grew up in the northern part of the state and we played Mt Ogden and El Monte a lot, among others. As well as Golf City, may it RIP. I learned on the course at Golf City and played countless games there with my friends and my dad before I was even in high school. I was never very good but I...

Which of the Jazz's young players are most likely to be on the team in 3 years?

Flip is in his sophomore slump for real. Kessler hit that wall as well. I am hoping Flip works through it the way Kessler did. If he does, he should be very solid, has the potential to be a higher-level Kelly Olynyk which is not a bad thing at all. One of those guys like Lamar Odom that is...

    Ad shrinking screen

No worries, it is not your fault. It is a necessary evil, I get that. Personally I would pay a monthly charge to have an ad-free version if it helped support the site better. I am sure others would as well. Might be worth looking into.

    The New Dark Age

Or maybe it is a necessary culling of the gene pool. Removing those who are not fit to survive to strengthen the remaining population. It happens in nature all the time. Maybe this is the way it happens in advanced societies for sentient life.

Walker Kessler out for the year

This. In spades. I was most excited to watch Walker and see him shooting 3s and developing as a defender. Really threw a wet blanket on the entire season. Dropped my interest by a good 40%.

That's gotta be a good mix. Ours was a pom shih-tzu mix. So a pomshit or shitrainian. Ok that's just what I liked to call it, I guess the mix is actually a shyranian. But damn she was such a good dog.

    Ad shrinking screen

Here is another one. And this one interrupted me writing a post and locked down the screen for a full 5 count which is virtually forever in Internet time. Long enough to get a solid screen shot.

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

Yet again in the draft we dodged a bullet, you know, the bullet of picking a guy that can actually play. We seem to dodge that bullet all the time.

Yep. Ours died about 2 1/2 years ago. Still hurts like it was yesterday. 14 years weren't enough.

    Wemby watch

Yeah it's still jokic for me. I mean his last game was just, **** me wow, but you know, just another night for the joker. 33 pts, 16 assists, 15 rebounds, 3 steals and only 3 turnovers. 67% fg, 40% 3 pt, 88% ft. What? He is making a solid case for being top 5 NBA all-time, not just this year...

What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

LOL I completed the sentence but no idea why it didn't post. We decided to watch it on streaming, not go to the theater.

My kids have been telling us we need to watch this, like rabidly. And they are in their 20's. We have decided.
