Idk about that. I think there is so much value to be gained on the margins, I just wouldn't call it death. But I'd also say that a top 4 pick is our best shot at forming a really good team. I don't think building from the middle is some death sentence or anything. IMO, The tanking decision is unique and specific to a team's current situation. It just so happens to be that our decision to tank is completely obvious. But hey, we're not the one's who get the pride of being a high...

My favorite Vegas SL memory was hearing Doc talk about Jared Cunningham (to Darvin Ham lol). He said Cunningham was an incredible, all star level player in a closed gym but once he gets on the court he crumbles from bad decisions. Doc ended up picking Cunningham over Ingles, and the rest is history.

The big red flag about Ament right now is his rim finishing. 49% at the rim is embarrassingly low. If he doesn't get the FT he's awful. Rim FG% does improve at the next level, but it's not great to be 6'10 and lagging so far behind his peers.

Don't have any second thoughts about fading Cenac early. Still figuring out my opinion on Ament. Film does not look great, but the spreadsheet does.

It completely torched their development too. None of those prospects went on to be good players because it's impossible to develop with so much opportunity!

The pathetic thing about the extra 5-6 wins is that it's really just taking us from like 22 wins to 28 wins. And it's a 28 win team where there are 7-8 terrible teams in the league. We're still an awful team. All we'll get is the temporary satisfaction that we didn't tank (as well) as the teams...

There is a 100% chance they'll be a prospect I wish we had if we have no pick. And if we have a pick, there's a great chance I will wish we had someone drafted higher.

The absurdity of college football is really showing with calendar and how these coaching/transfer decisions go down. The NCAA did some good things, but this was so poorly planned.

Nurk was never a tank commander on defense, and once he stopped shooting like 35% from the field he wasn’t a tank commander on offense either. I said this would be the case before the season. Numbers don’t lie!
