Should we be worried about turnover margin?

Collier's turnovers I'm more than happy to live with. Not so much lazy pass turnovers Key and Clarkson sometimes get plagued with. Clarkson will take care of itself as his contract ages out, and Key seems to be upping his passing game lately, so we'll see how it plays out. The other glaring...

Cooper Flagg wants another year in college

I get where you're coming from, but the NBA is set up a certain way, with certain rules, and the Jazz are working within the framework to optimize for success, to help them overcome certain structural disadvantages. The question that Ryan answered differently than previous ownership- Is our...

Keyonte George Hype & Appreciation Thread

Its amazing how playing w/Collier seems to increase Key's assist game. Maybe his competitive juices are going as far as keeping his assist numbers comparable- if so, great!

Not like we have anywhere to spend it, considering the deals expiring next year. Kessler re-upping will be decent sized, and maybe Key if he learns to be more efficient.

I'm guessing w/the salary cap going up 10% next year we'll still be in a good position to absorb salary, but not as many teams will need the help...

Should we bring in Stockton to mentor Collier?

He literally played in the NBA, so you can make up whatever definition you want, but a player who spent time in the NBA but didn't stick, but might of with the right team/circumstances meets my definition just fine.

Yeah, Demin is awesome, but you're betting too much on him developing to take him top 5ish. More than happy to take him with the Timberpup's pick.

Should we bring in Stockton to mentor Collier?

David actually did 10 days for Sacramento in 2015 and finished the 2018 season on the roster for the Jazz, so he was definitely marginal. He didn't look like he didn't belong and actually set records in the development league. Not at all starter material, but exactly as I said, marginal...

Should we bring in Stockton to mentor Collier?

And to reply a second time, it's funny watching videos of his peers as they recollect going against him, being surprised at how tall/strong/fast he was. He definitely gave off a jockey vibe while really being a stone cold assassin on the court with unmatched vision/proprioception and large hands...

Should we bring in Stockton to mentor Collier?

Yep, both were marginal NBA players (kinda surprised Michael didn't get anything more than a summer league in the NBA,) but solid pros in lesser leagues.

Should we bring in Stockton to mentor Collier?

None of his boys should have been prospects, on physical talent, but they were, presumably because they had him around to tutor them. I'd be interested to see what a few weeks tutoring could do for Collier. Key he would probably mentally wound permanently due to his attitude issues.

    Collier’s Future

The best thing about him is how he makes *every* other player better. Key gets the ball in better places to drive or shoot. Lauri/Kessler/Collins start spamming dunks at the rim. Flip plays with more confidence and they have a good two-man game going and so forth. The other players are...

Is next season as a tank pretty much off the table?

So combining some comments from other threads, it seems to me if we get through the next few hours w/o sending away Collins or Sexton, we're going to try to get to the playoffs next year. I think the lynchpin to this idea is Collier's development. Dude is ballin and seems to be helping unlock...

Jimmy Butler to Golden State in Five-Team Deal involving Utah

Doubt we're willing to take Schroder for nothing? Does he have value beyond a salary slot that is flippable?

Dudes would have no problem with that in the East... they'd already be at the playin cut even without adjusting for relative strength of schedule.

    Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Yep. He really needs another year to solidify his handle and work on his 3. But he has intense flashes of talent that if he goes into the draft he is getting picked, it's just a matter of who is patient vs a team wanting an immediate payoff. As a BYU fan I'd love him for another year, because...
