    No Extension for Walker Kessler?

Kessler becomes one of the very top free agency prizes in 2026. The Wizards and Bulls both have young cores and tons of money to spend. And they do not have any long-term solutions at the center. The Jazz can easily end up facing a huge offer from one of those teams.

    T-Wolves Watch Thread

I think it is about time that all these fervent dreams about Ainge's war chest of future Timberwolves and Cavs picks died a quiet death. It is pretty clear by now that all of them will be the same late-20s picks.

    T-Wolves Watch Thread

This is wishful thinking at its finest. The Wolves are not particularly old: any decline of Conley and Gobert would be offset by the expected improvements from their young core players (Ant, McDaniels, Reid) and their second-year players (Dillingham, Clark). They are actually pretty deep...

Clingan is crazy strong: he is clearly stronger than Kessler. But, luckily, Walter is way more skilled. Hansen, though, will be a problem once he gets used to the NBA basketball.

Walker is trying to pass like Nurkic. Good.

Oh, so I have some superpowers?! Well, then... I am really looking forward to watching Svi starting for the Jazz and delivering many wins!

Ringer Top 100, Lauri moved up, Kessler snub?

Eh, cut me some slack: I have not seen Walker on the basketball court for 6 months. My memories of him are getting increasingly more hazy, while WCJ has been a constant feature in the recent discussions and videos.

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

That's why I have a hard time seeing the Hornets with Ball, Sexton, Bridges, Miller, Dinwiddie, Tre Mann and Grant Williams finishing below the Jazz.

Ringer Top 100, Lauri moved up, Kessler snub?

Walter is probably in the 14-16 range among the centers and an average center is probably less valuable than an average SF or PG in the today's NBA. Especially the center who cannot hit 3-pointers, not a passer and not a good FT shooter. There are 11 centers who are clearly better than Kessler...

Also, our defense immediately looks markedly better every time when Cody gets on the floor.

Am I being crazy to say that the Jazz would be better starting Nurk - solely because of his passing? The second unit will at least have Flip in that role. It's just our PGs are not very good and they absolutely need the secondary playmaker.

The biggest difference for Cody this season that he is not hiding on the wing away from plays but instead he is always in the thick of the action. On defense he is often defending at the point of attack or he is very close to the basket for a rebound, and on offense he is cutting hard to the...

    Walter Clayton Jr. Hype Thread

Did you notice that almost all of the small guards you listed were very high picks and did not stay in college for 4 years? They simply had way more talent and their talent was very obvious at a very young age. WCJ does not belong to that group. Of course, we can hope that Clayton on the path of...

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

Yes, right now. But a year from now? Bam and Ware are both young and mobile and they shoot threes. Meanwhile Porzingis is getting old and brittle and Allen is a non-shooter. Miami has a pretty deep, balanced and young team. Ware, Jovic, Kasparas, Jaques... They will be a force in the East.

Kelel Ware is quickly becoming an unstoppable force. He is a future All-Star. Ware and Bam will be the best front-court in the East in a year or so.

    Walter Clayton Jr. Hype Thread

That's interesting how different people can come up with very different impressions after watching the same games. To me Keyonte looked much more PG-ish in his two preseason games. I think he reaslly progressed in this department and now is capable to make quite a variety of passes and reads...

Game Thread Oct 10, 2025 06:00PM MT: Utah Jazz @ San Antonio Spurs (Preseason)

Yes, but. But last season the Jazz posted the worst records with Collins playing 31 MPG and Sexton - 28. Absolutely nobody from our young players are even close to their level. And young players on Washington and Charlotte will also be better this year, very similar to the Jazz youngsters...

Game Thread Oct 10, 2025 06:00PM MT: Utah Jazz @ San Antonio Spurs (Preseason)

And what inspired such change in your opinion? The fact that we decisively lost 2 preseason games, including this overtime where our prized rookie and the players who will be playing heavy minutes (Keyonte, Brice) lost to the end-of-the bench and two-way Spurs players? Don't worry, we are...
