Demin's +/- stuff is also very good, especially on the defensive end. I think that's very notable for a rookie playing lots of minutes on a terrible team.

I've watched him a few times. Assist numbers don't really tell the whole story. He's a good passer, but he isn't really breaking down the defense to rack up assists. Handle is still weak for a lead guard. I'd also bet that his teammates aren't very good at converting on his passes.
