The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

i probably go bucks, grizz, mavs (with the hope that flagg will be so good down the stretch, he'll will them to a few wins they wouldn't otherwise get.

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

you make good points (iow, on paper you seem to be right), but i looked up the standings on 11/31, 12/15 and 12/31 and the reality is washington, sacto and indiana have gained ground. hence the reason i used the term trajectory. if they continue on this trajectory/pace, they'll be in a good...

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

bucks and grizzlies are two teams ahead of the jazz that they have absolutely have to worry about. mavs as well. as recently as 12/31, the jazz were ahead of the hornets in the standings, who 2-3 weeks later weren't even a concern.

i mean, they are 3 games up on the worst record in the league - of course they have a shot at 1. they have some work to do of course, but they've been consistently losing (gaining?) ground over the course of the last couple months. if they continue this trajectory, no reason they can't have...

    Ace Bailey ROY watch

a guy who shies away from contact might simply be who he is. but if during the next couple off seasons he puts in the work on his handle, just the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the hoop (forcing guys to foul him whether he likes it or not) will make a massive difference...

    Following Potential 2026 Draftees

i agree with that (was mostly talking overlooked in general), but any gm of a lottery team needing a lead guard should be salivating.

    Following Potential 2026 Draftees

Acuff being overlooked. not only is he having a historic frosh season for a lead guard in terms of production, but he has good (not great) length and athleticism. you just don't see frosh pgs who average 20+ ppg on 50/40 splits. also averaging 6 assists with low turnovers. has legit...

    Ace Bailey ROY watch

it's just really hard to reach above average levels of efficiency if you don't get to the ft line - star or not. and i don't feel like he HAS to be a star, but he can be a star if he could get to the ft line (and improve in a couple other areas).

it should be noted that indiana picked up a big win last night. only 3 games back of the jazz in the loss column. leaving the wizards in last place, just four games behind utah.

    Ace Bailey ROY watch

one thing that gives me hope is that improved ballhandling could and should make a big difference - it's of course not the only issue, but its a major issue. i mean, he can't take anybody off the bounce at this point. 95% of his threes are assisted and 75% of his twos are assisted...

    2026 NBA Trade Discussion Thread

i mean, yeah, you'd need a commitment from him in order to make any deal. i think just about any team would want that. but damn, if you could take bailey and kessler out of it, it would be a no-brainer.

    2026 NBA Trade Discussion Thread

if you're the jazz, do you make this trade? with the assumption giannis doesn't play this year, so they still get this year's pick. it would give the jazz the best trio in the league, still with a chance to add a star young player in this draft.

share your current thoughts about whether Taylor Hendricks is an NBA player

he's making it hard for me to not to ignore my policy of not giving up on dudes age 22 and under.

what stands out to me most in those highlights is how quick zion is. wemby, despite being 7'5" has never looked slow to me. but in those highlights zion makes it look like wemby's playing in quicksand.

Game Thread Jan 27, 2026 08:00PM MT: LA Clippers @ Utah Jazz

he's been healthy long enough the injury is a complete non-factor from a health standpoint alone - rust the same. you don't get to claim rust 4 months into the season. he missed a year, which never helps, but that isn't an excuse for a second year (second year due to injury) lottery pick...

    Ace Bailey ROY watch

i'm as big an ace homer as anybody (pre-draft i was probably the biggest on this site), but the inability to get to the ft line is getting ridiculous, he needs to rebound a lot better and especially without the FTs, 45/34 shooting splits aren't going to get it done. he shows flashes, but he...
