nah, you want him getting as many minutes as possible and guys always get more minutes starting than they would coming off the bench.

the best play of his career and it probably isn't close.

turns out all he had to do was be dog **** at basketball. he's not playing for the same reason cody wasn't at the beginning of the season. sure, the jazz want to lose, but you have to at least look like a somewhat competent basketball player.

Bridges, Miller, Knueppel and Ball shot a combined 6-36 from 3 tonight.

    Keyonte George’s Star Ascension

in new orleans he was. i was thinking more the utah version. by cy reminded me in another thread to take into account scoring and efficiency inflation and with that, he's in that group, but probably not better yet than most of those guys.

Cody Williams Star Ascension Watch Thread

okay. i'm fine with that. defense is mostly subjective, so i have little problem with most opinions and will rarely argue defense because of the subjectivity of it. it's basically impossible to prove one opinion over another, hence it's generally a waste of time. yes, most metrics that...

Quotes from Timberwolves' forums-"Keyonte George was 1 of 5 picks Wolves traded for Booty Gobert lmaoooo"

that's true. i didn't consider that. also, efficiency inflation.

    Keyonte George’s Star Ascension

this is just me and perhaps not wanting to get my hopes too high, i think it's just extremely difficult for small guards 6'3/6'4" and shorter to sustain both productivity and efficiency at a high level. the ones that can sustain, a 61/62%+ TS while averaging 25 ppg are unicorns. Steph...

key and kessler > rudy and lauri > donovan. yeah, that's a win even if we don't include anybody else.

    Keyonte George’s Star Ascension

yes. and arguably better than peak utah donovan, boozer, and possibly deron too. we're getting to a point with Key where - IF he can sustain it which is a big if - the only players who were clearly better are dantley, stockton, markkanen and malone. hard to compare guys like AK and Rudy who...

Cody Williams Star Ascension Watch Thread

at the very least it looks like williams will be a plus defender (if he's not already), will run the floor and make cuts that lead to easy layups and dunks. ultimately he will need to be able to stand at the three point line and knock down catch and shoot threes, but it's not hard to see how...

    Keyonte George’s Star Ascension

i agree with this statement 100%. i guess my point is, regardless of the metrics, this year i'm seeing a guy who is playing smart defense, and putting in the effort on that end and doing a good job with it.

Quotes from Timberwolves' forums-"Keyonte George was 1 of 5 picks Wolves traded for Booty Gobert lmaoooo"

the one guy said randle is a ball hog. interesting because during the game, i was surprised at how passive/unselfish he was. i kept wondering what happened to that aggressive julius randle i was used to. he'd get the ball in situations where it looked like he could take somebody to the hoop...

sometimes i wonder what game some of you are watching. and then i realize it's that you've probably just decided you don't like him and there is little he can do to get you on his side. 18 points on 10 shots, 10 assists and 1 turnover off the bench. if that's not good basketball, good...

    Keyonte George’s Star Ascension

count me as one who watches games and sees key playing a lot of good defense. he moves his feet, he stays in front, he competes hard on that end. generally when he has a bad defensive possession it's due to his lack of height/length rather than effort, poor defensive iq, etc. to be clear...

    Following Potential 2026 Draftees

No chance Bidunga fails as at least a rotation caliber rebounder/rim runner in the league, right? Elite athlete, good motor, great hands, good length, adequate skill level. The only question is how good can he be.

    Following Potential 2026 Draftees

KU vs Baylor right now. Peterson, Tounde and Carr putting on a show in the first half. Yessoufou still has a chance to get into the top 8, IMO. He’s been overshadowed a bit by the big 4, but 18 ppg and leading the big12 in steals, dude is no joke. I expect the three point % to continue to...

Game Thread Jan 14, 2026 06:00PM MT: Utah Jazz @ Chicago Bulls

flip was exposed badly on defense last night having to play the 5 full time. with his t-rex arms he contests shots like he's 6'6", everybody shoots over him with ease whether it's a penetrating guard/wing or his own man. i mean for vuc, there simply wasn't any resistance at any point. it's...
