Is there a young player on the Jazz right now that would have developed better under the Washington Wizards model? Most of you would already have cut half of them by their second season. A lot of you would have traded Keyonte for a very late first just last year. Hardy has done enough to earn...

Love and Nurk do a lot of the things Hardy wants Centers to do, especially with screens and playmaking. Niether are the future, but if the young guys want to be future Jazz bigs, they will incorporate the stuff that Love and Nurk do well into their games. Flip can do some of it, but has only...

Taylor is shooting 41% from 3 for the season and has improved pretty decently offensively despite the year long injury delay. I suspect an entire healthy offseason should do wonders as it is obvious he can put in the work.

I think Hardy knows what he is doing with development minutes. It is quite clear that his preference is to put players in a position to succeed. Playing Flip 35 minutes at center is assinine and doesnt help anyone. That will never be his role.

I was a Saluan believer, but then again, I wanted Jarace Walker something awful in 23, so there is that as well. . .

    Jackpotting Around -Tony Jones Edition

Even if we traded Lauri, I am afraid the guaranteed top 5 spot is completely out of the question. Too many teams are playing bad that shouldn't be this bad. Find somebody you love as much as Bill Simmons loves the sound of his own voice. . . Dude is now, and has always been, insufferable.

Meh, Hayward was far from a guarantee when he signed his second contract. I get not throwing the unquestioned max at him.

    Jackpotting Around -Tony Jones Edition

Losing Lauri is not even close to the value of a number 9 or worse pick in the upcoming draft. There would have to be a LOT of backfill to make up that difference, especially as there a really great possibility of keeping the pick AND retaining Lauri.

There was never a world where Haywood passes on the Celtics and his mentor for that assembly of the Utah Jazz. His poison pill contract just made it happen a year earlier.

We cannot get equal value for Lauri.

I mean the Donovan/Rudy post Clippers playoff disaster team wasn't that long ago. And that team wasn't starting rookies. Talk about teams that just lied down and took it. . .

Meh, the 5th place team has a 40% chance of a top 4 pick compared to the 50% chance we had last year. Not greatly different. Karma is better as well.

Not when the Jazz are playing offense like this. Most of those games were the live ball turnover fests we loved so much last year. I will always love Clarkson. I don't miss his turnovers, though

I think I have seen enough to think Colier should be a solid NBA backup point, especially on a team with a combo guard or two. Great pick for where we got him in that particular draft.
