It seems like a given that he will make the roster next season. The question is what kind of contract he will be on. I wouldn’t mind guaranteeing him $4M for two seasons if it means we get two additional non guaranteed years. $8M would be hard to pass up for Harkless.

He has some Ayton in him for sure. Great physical tools used for the wrong reasons. It will be key to steer his development in the right direction.

It’s one of his favorite shots. Definitely looks cool when he makes it, but it’s not a great shot. In general I think he’s too adverse to contact on offense. When he does attack the rim, he tries to evade the defenders instead of seeking contact.

Disagree with this. He was one of those ball dominant players in the league as rookie. The ball sticks in his hand it often doesn’t leave until he can get an assist. He is not someone who gets the ball and moves it around quickly. I don’t consider guys who dominate the ball a ton and rack up...

100%. I don't think he hustles for rebounds/cuts if he's getting the ball every possession and simply "goes to work". He should probably get a few more touches/plays run for him, but the fact that he's been willing to work for touches the way he has is the most encouraging thing I've seen from him.

Assists =\= unselfish. He’s not a ball mover. Part of that is that he can’t play off the ball but part of that is that he is somewhat of a ball hog. Last night was an extreme case of this, but he has a tendency to dribble the air out of the ball and dominate the possession.

Yeah....I don't mind mixing it in a bit. Just needs to keep the main thing the main thing. I think he needs to get physically stronger before he can have any kind of success in isolation anyways. He needs to be able to embrace the contact instead of using his gifts to fade away from the defense.

To be more specific, it's the inability to create less tough shots for himself. I don't think he's scored a single basket out of iso in his first two games. It's all come from spot ups, cuts, and putbacks. And those shots are great, efficient shots which he should build his game around...
