Locke said on his podcast the other day that he thinks Lauri is here to stay and he expects him to still be on the roster the next time the Jazz make the playoffs. There is also this quote that a member of the front office gave to Spotrac's Keith Smith on Lauri's future with the Jazz:
“We hope...
If we use the exception it will probably just be to take on a bad contract for a pick or two because apparently we don't already have enough picks in 20's. Sigh
Windhorst also said almost no one in the western conference is rebuilding right now and everyone has their foot on the gas, including the Jazz who are looking to turn it up. Then like a week or two later we did the complete opposite by getting rid of Sexton, Clarkson and Collins.
Collier/Clayton Jr.
Keyonte/Brice
Ace/Cody
Lauri/Hendricks
Kessler/Flip/Nurk
This roster has a serious lack of passing and that makes it tough to try and put lineups together that will work.
RIP. Frank was responsible for the 3 most important figures in Utah Jazz basketball history...he drafted Stockton and Malone and hired Sloan. He was a class act and one of the biggest characters ever in the NBA.
Really glad they were able to get a deal done for Collins. I was worried when Tony said there wasn't a market for him a few days ago. They should now easily be one of the 5 worst teams in the NBA next season and secure a top draft pick.
He should start and play 30 minutes a night from the first game. We need to let him develop as much as possible and play through his mistakes. One poor performance in a summer league game changes nothing.
Don’t understand taking Ace out at the 6 minute mark of the 4th and not bringing him back in the rest of the game. I know he was struggling but that’s what summer league is for. Makes no sense to me.
