I thought this was a pretty incredible story worthy of some discussion beyond TULT. This kid had basically the same kind of cancer I did (osteosarcoma - bone cancer), but in the more common location (long bones of the thigh, as opposed to mine which was on my spine and upper rib cage). Pretty amazing what they can do to the human body.

Here is some video:

If it is your passion to do something nothing will hold you back. I saw this yesterday and it made me feel a lot better about my leg. I couldn't imagine having to deal with what this kid has. What a stud.

How old are you? Tell us your story with this.

I am actually writing a memoir with my daughter about my experience with cancer that I hope to get published next year, so I could put some excerpts from that if people are really interested.

Here is a video my daughter made this year for a school project about my cancer story. I changed names to protect the innocent (my daughter) and the fat and not-so-innocent (yours truly). She did a great job on the video I thought.

That is why I posted it. That was an inspiration.

Awesome video bro. I actually teared up watching it.

Question. Has it really been PROVEN that the particular foods mentioned at the end off the video increase one's odds of getting cancer? I feel like the charred toast/french fries thing was from some study done a couple years ago but not necessarily proven.

I don't know about the research part of it. I know she used the American Cancer Society website for most of her research as well as Huntsman Cancer Institute and other university sites for most of it. I have no issues because I don't smoke and always eat my red meat rare to offset the fries. :)

I think what she found mostly is that they have been proven to contain known carcinogenic chemicals.

That seems to ring a bell.

Log, great video man. Very touching. May you never have to go through that crap again. It looks like you have a beautiful family that needs you.
