Deal that has hampered the franchise

Or lack there of. Tracy McGrady for AK. We would have gotten McGrady's 23.5 mil contract up last year and would have had $ to re sign Korver,Matthews and probably wouldn't have given up Maynor. With AK's contract still on board we had to let Wes and Korver walk and trade Maynor and Brewer for nothing

You agree? AK is not only a cancer on the court but his contract has killed the franchise

They could have moved him years ago for Marion as well. Why the jazz repeatedly refused to deal him and put the franchise in this position remains a mystery.

Korver, Wes, and Maynor are just career bench or role players though. Yes its keeps us more competitive in the mean time but it wouldn't sway Deron from bolting. The AK for Marion deal is the one that could be looked at though. The Jazz were clicking then and the money could have been used next year for a defensive center and could have made a good run.

That would have cost the Millers money in the short term. Millers no like to spend money in the short term.

I'd love to see what this team could do with at least serviceable wing players. It would open up the offense so much more and Harris could have more room to create. Plus our 2 wings right now have no ability to play defense or put any effort into it what so ever

5th highest payroll in the league not good enough huh? You can argue they didn't spend it wisely but hard to argue they have refused to spend. They have been in the luxury tax the last 2 years in a bad economy. Find something else to complain about.

Also the Okur signing was just as bad as not trading AK away.

I was one who hated it when it happened. Not one who jumped on after the injury.

he wasn't worth that kind of money. And we could of used that money properly. The Jazz front office knew that we could not win with Boozer and Okur as our starting front court. They knew we needed defense. But we still signed Okur to an extension. It was a joke.

actually, signing AK to that ridiculous $86M contract is the deal that doomed the franchise, not the trades that never happened.

So you would have went with Fesenko and Koufas to start? Or maybe overpay Sammy Dalembert who is helping Sactown immensely as we can see by their 16 wins. Not exactly a move that would endorse DWill to stay, which was the #1 priority at that time.
