Jazz waive Jaden Springer

With players like Springer if you have to ask yourself "should my team extend or guarantee his contract?" - the answer is always "no". Teams churn through these players looking for diamonds in the rough who could use the opportunity to rapidly improve and become clear rotation players. If they are still the 12th-15th player on the team then it's time to move on and look at someone else.

/ Having said that, I am still surprised that the Jazz resigned Svi.

I’d rather keep Harkless. Ainge’s ought to be churning the bottom of the roster all year long. Try to find a gem like Niang or O’Neal.

Wonder what the deal is with Procida. I figured he’d for sure come over this year on a deal slightly better than what he can get in Europe. Sounds like he’s trying to sign up with Real Madrid now. Maybe the Jazz are just waiting to see how he develops at a higher level of competition.

He and Matty Ice were teammates in Germany and statistically they were about the same.
