They just aren't that good. Al Jefferson is a poor fit with Millsap, Raja's been a a bust, and they only have one good bench player. You've seen the last few games how much they depend on Williams. They may look a lot harder at making a deal to get under the tax, because they're best-case scenario is losing in the first round anyway.
