For the second straight season, Texas won the Alamo Bowl, knocking off Colorado 55-23. The Longhorns beat the Utes 38-10 in the 2019 Alamo Bowl, handing Utah their second straight loss after falling to Oregon in the Pac-12 Championship game.

Utah Athletic Director Mark Harlan expressed his appreciation on Twitter for the Alamo Bowl holding a moment of silence to honor Ty Jordan.

Jordan passed away at the age of 19 on Christmas night in Denton, Texas near his hometown to an apparent accidental self-inflicted gun shot wound. Last Saturday, the Utah Jazz held a moment of silence in honor of Jordan’s life before their home opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
