SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz broke the NBA record for the most three-pointers made in any half during the first half against the Orlando Magic.

The Jazz hosted the Magic at Vivint Arena on Saturday, April 3.

During the first 24 minutes of action, Utah buried 18 triples. The league’s previous record was 17 three-pointers by the 2018 Golden State Warriors.

The Jazz’s previous franchise record for three-pointers made in a half was 15. The previous franchise record for triples connected in a first half was 14.

The @utahjazz have tied the franchise record for threes in a quarter in BOTH first half quarters tonight.

At halftime, the Jazz held a 78-40 lead over the Magic.

The Jazz finished shooting 56.0 percent overall and 18-31 for 58.1 percent from downtown.

In the half, Utah led by Donovan Mitchell’s 22 points.

Mitchell connected on 6-7 three-point attempts.

Joe Ingles buried four threes.

Jordan Clarkson made three triples.

Bojan Bogdanovic, Georges Niang, and Miye Oni also buried three-point shots.

Utah’s game against Orlando is broadcast on AT&T SportsNet and 97.5 FM.
