I don't think Untamed was mind-blowing, but just a solid series and I enjoyed the setting and the fact it was a brief 6 episodes. I'd give it a solid B
The British are probably the best at doing these, so agreed on Broadchurch, The Missing, etc.Untamed was like a C- series for the genre. Pretty obvious who it was going to be too.
If you want better similar series, watch The Missing, Broadchurch, The Killing, or the Aussie version of Secrets and Lies. Tangentially, Happy Valley is probably the best of the best but it’s slightly different than the rest and very tough to find in streaming.
Edit: I’d also throw in The Night Of which is elite and Mare of Easttown.
The Night Of is great. I liked it more the second time I watched it. My only issue was really with how quickly our lead transformed in prison.Night Of elite? I remember liking it, but I barely even remember it

But The Killing? That’s as the middle of the road as they come.. lol.. I’d put that in the same basket as Bosch, Bosch Legacy, Goliath, or True Detective 2, 3, 4.. I’d put Untamed in there too.
Agreed Mare of Eastown is a step above though.
Yeah but they’re all well below Season 1 which is in a Tier of its own.And lumping seasons 2, 3 and 4 of TD together is ludicrous. Season 3 is very strong. 2 had decent parts and 4 sucked.
