From Hoopsrumors: "Head coach Will Hardy‘s fellow former Celtics assistant coach Scott Morrison, who coached NBL squad the Perth Wildcats during the 2021/22 season, will serve as the new head coach for Utah’s NBAGL club the Salt Lake City Stars, tweets Emiliano Carchia of Sportando. Morrison was previously the head coach of the Celtics’ then-D League club, then known as the Maine Red Claws (now the Maine Celtics of the NBA G League), from 2014-17. He was honored as the NBA D League Coach of the Year in 2015 for his efforts."

Sounds like a solid hire. Has experience in the G-League and knows what Hardy is going to be looking for in terms of player development. Would love to see the Jazz basically load up on raw wing sized players and see if any pan out.

I believe the Aussie team he coached had Bryce Cotton on it so he has good experience.

It's time to load up on the developmental program. As someone that knows basically nothing about anything, this looks like slick work (hiring a person that appears to already have some specialization in development if only the G-League but also has a relationship to Hardy, and presumably also Ainge).

Last year the Stars were terribly undermanned with Zaire Wade in the mix and they were further handicapped having to run Quin's system that wasn't easily picked up.
