Hey everyone,

I am a huge Jazz fan and have been part of this forum for years, mostly watching the posts and getting updates on everyone's opinion on the Jazz (except when I wrote a letter to George Karl 10 years ago).

We will be releasing a scientific poll next Thursday, the 29th, (1,000 Utah voters) with 2 Jazz questions, and wanted to see who would get closest to the actual results (one of the questions had a surprising result in my opinion). I am going to put the first question exactly as written in this poll and see how close it comes to the actual response. The poll should be in all the Utah media outlets on Thursday.

I will also add the second question below, so feel free to comment your answer. I wanted to put Greg Ostertag but I was worried he would win by too much :)

Greatest Jazz player of all-time?
John Stockton
Karl Malone
Adrian Dantley

Strongly approve if we are doing what’s necessary to be lottery-competitive.

Somewhat approve if we’re screwing around about that. (Current vote)

I think the Jazz have put themselves in a good position with Key, Ace, Lauri, Kessler going in to next year. We will also have cap space, a lot of young players, and draft picks to improve the team moving forward. I would have preferred to have Kessler locked up and a little less cap space, but it's not that big of a deal.

My main gripe is that we haven't prioritized defense more. I hate having the 30th ranked defense and it's hard for me to watch games in which we are incapable of getting stops. I much preferred the Favors/Gobert teams that were super rough offensively, but lethal defensively.

I don't think this current rebuild is heading for a championship and I'm generally ok with that. I think we have a good enough lineup to be top 6 for a few years and I'm looking forward to getting back to the playoffs and cheering for wins. Obviously a lot of things can change based on our pick this year.

I hate tanking but at the moment its the lesser evil. It feels like we are climbing out of the cellar next year, which would be a pretty fast turnover on the rebuild, and it would justify us keeping Lauri assuming he has 4 or more good years left in his tank.
