Raja ranks #301 out of 307 players in PER. He is the worst player in the league playing 19+ minutes per game.

The only players worse than Raja (none of whom are seeing as much playing time) are:

302 - Lance Stephenson, Indiana
303 - Matt Carroll, Charlotte
304 - Mike Bibby, New York
305 - Shawne Williams, New Jersey
306 - Austin Daye, Detroit
307 - Avery Bradley, Boston

None of those players are starters this year which also grants Raja Bell the prestigious title of "Worst starter in the NBA".

Last year, Raja had a similar honor, but it was "The worst player in the league playing more than 20 minutes per game." (Raja played 30+ last year)

https://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hol...spn.go.com/nba/hollinger/statistics?year=2011

Last year he ranked #323 out of 338 overall.

Raja was also "The worst starter in the NBA" last year. * = started a minimum of 30 games. (Raja started 63 of the 68 games he played in)

Typically I flame away for first time posters. But you sir are a breath of fresh air. Ignore Ms. Archie Moses. He's just having a hard time coming to grips with the fact that his life is now relegated to watching games on the smallest tv in the house and saying, "Yes ma'am umpteen times a day."

Your numbers have opened my eyes to just how bad Bell is. Miles stinks. But Bell may be the **** to that smell.

While those stats are hard to dispute, I still say he's not that bad. I just think Raja needs to change his shot. What he's doing now obviously isn't working. He's shooting it straight without much arc. He needs to "reach for the peach" a bit more and less of a push shot.

When Hornacek came into the league, he used to shoot a two-hand push shot. Then, for whatever reason, decided to change it to what it became. Obviously, it probably took him lots of work but if your shot stops working then it's time to change the shot.

I also think Raja seems discouraged out there. It's hard to blame him really, but he's a professional. If things aren't going your way then you do whatever it takes: Gurus, motivational coaches/training, etc. Anything to clear your head and improve.

Does anyone else remember the waning years of the 'Golden Griff'? I was young, but I felt bad for him, I could tell that Hot Rod felt bad for him too. The odd thing was that it looked to me like Darrell Griffith didn't want to be on the floor anymore, like he knew the game had left him behind and he could no longer physically compete, but coach kept putting him out there.

To this day I wonder if the Coach knew how difficult it was for the fans and other players to watch a proud man blunder along shooting airballs, and getting run past. And if Hot Rod, the player, and the kid could all see it, why did Coach keep running him out there everynight?

Watching him tonight he just looks mentally out of it, he made a poor decision on a pass and missed a make-able 3

Just tweeted both of them, hopefully they reply. Im eager to read their responses

It's insane how much credit Bell gets for his past. The guy is absolutely done. If Ty hasn't completely ****canned him after 10 games I'll lose all respect for him.

I just don't see him getting a DNP CD. Dude is probably already pissed after tonight, and there'd be no point of keeping him around to pout on the bench. IMO, our best hope would be for KOC to dump him for someone else's trash or a 2nd.

Ty has been pretty ruthless with his lineups this year. He's playing who he wants. He's even sat vets like Sap far more than Jerry would have ever sat him. I might be naive, but I genuinely believe the last two nights with Burks getting minutes means something. Ty knows how bad Bell is like we all do. He says the right things in the press like he should. But there's not actual justification for keeping Bell on the floor. The only difference is Bell is a true vet and he's giving him a lot of rope. If he doesn't realize that rope is unjustified after a few more games, Ty is a lost cause.
