Jazz fans clearly love the Finnisher

After our SB Reacts post last week asking about how the Utah Jazz should move forward with Lauri Markkanen. It’s clear that Utah loves the Finnisher!

69% of the people that took the poll think the Jazz should build around Lauri Markkanen. The Jazz have some decisions to make this offseason, but it feels like a re-negotiation of Markkanen’s contract is the most likely outcome. If that happens, it appears that Jazz fans will be happy.

Knowing that a majority of Jazz fans want to rebuild around Markkanen, it makes sense how the next question went. When asked if the Jazz should trade Lauri Markkanen for a better chance at Cooper Flagg, a lot of you were against it.

Cooper Flagg looks like a generational prospect and if the Jazz trade Markkanen to go after him, a lot of you would be against that.

There is also a world where the Jazz re-negotiate Markkanen’s contract while trading all their other vets to try for Flagg. I wonder if that’s something we should ask in upcoming polls if that’s something you’d like to see. I didn’t want to this time because I wanted to create a clear distinction on what Utah should do.

Finally, we asked who you think who would end up being the best player long term of the Jazz’s young core of rookies and here’s what you said.

Unsurprisingly, Keyonte George came away as the clear winner. George showed some incredible flashes this season and showed that, if he shows more consistency with his shooting and decision-making, he can become a great player for the Jazz going forward.
