Alec Burks was fun to watch and will be missed but the writting was on the wall and he was not going to be back next year.

I started to really like him this year. He’ll get a standing ovation when returning. I hope he tears it up, the Cavs go on a run, and he becomes an all-star in the east while Gordon sits at home playing computer games.

AB didn't pan out on the court but dude battled through injuries and carried himself well as a Jazzman. Deserves to be cheered for the rest of his career when he's playing in SL.

Even if he isn't traded right away he's not playing for them.

I will say, I'm certainly gonna miss AB's Houdini trick shots. I'm sure he'll do just fine over there, I wish him luck.

Yep. He had regular appearance from me in the recurring "players I irrationally love" threads on the general board or RealGM. I love AB... and also was regularly frustrated by him... but mostly I love him. His career took a hit by injuries and he was never the same but he also provided us with some of the most spectacular moments of Jazz basketball during his stay.

I wish him nothing but the best and I really hope he gets more of a chance to play in Cleveland and get his career back on track.

One of my sentimental favorite Jazz players ever, mostly because he went to Colorado and before Burks, Colorado had a pretty big drought of sending players to the NBA. I hope he has a career renaissance in Cleveland and gets another contract in the NBA.
