The Offseason Cha-cha-changes Thread

Tony Jones posted an article on the Athletic, and the big takeaways are:

(1) no plans to trade Donovan;
(2) Quin situation should be resolved soon;
(3) Jazz want to stay competitive;
(4) We want to buy into the second round of the draft (yay?)

Get ready for the offseason of half measures!

Hopefully releasing him from his contract. Would make sense that they'd want to do that very soon to start the hiring process for the next HC.

Tony also said in the article that the changes this offseason will be significant and possibly seismic.

I think it’s Quin and Rudy as key components to move. New ownership didn’t pick Quin and is all in on Donovan. That’s my take.

Agreed. At this point, I think both are more than likely gone.

I hope Quin is gone and either Rudy or Don are traded and the team is built around one of them. Before this series I was 100% team Rudy, but this series...eh, I'm not sure he can win in the post season. That said perhaps he can with some better pieces.

Two things:

1. The team lost its identity from when Ainge took over near the trade deadline and everyone was watching their backs. That progressed when Ingles was traded.

2. Now that we have an owner that would sell his own daughter for a nickle, I half expect wholesale changes. They will be welcome. Here's to hoping thames make us better.
