Tomic in Euroleage Final Four -- 2 games

I know many are sick of hearing about Tomic, but for those who aren't, the first game of the Euroleague Final Four is Friday at 2 pm (SLC time). There will also be a game Sunday (since there's a game for 1st place and for 3rd). It looks like an online feed can be purchased for $11 for the four Final Four games.

Tomic's FC Barcelona won't be favored, as they're missing one key player (Pete Mickeal), and possibly a second (Tomic's backup, Nate Jawai) due to injuries. Tomic may see additional minutes.

If anybody ends up watching, please share your thoughts.

Why are people not interested in Tomic? In part, he's under contract for a -while-

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ante_Tomi%C4%87_(basketball)
After the third year, the all-whites opted not to extend his contract.
In the play-offs he was on court in 12 matches and collected similar stats: he left Real Madrid with 7.25 points and 6 rebounds.
So, on July 5, 2012, Ante Tomic signed for Barça Regal for three seasons with the option to one more. In the Euroleague 2012-13 season, he was named to the All-Euroleague First Team.[1]
If he wanted to come over here, why is he signing additional multi year deals with other teams?

Former Jazz draft pick and still Jazz property Ante Tomic making big defensive impact in EuroLeague... https://fb.me/EpSL0DIg
Jazz property? It's not like he is under contract with us. I am actually pretty bitter about how he is ignoring his draft team. It is an indication of euro ball catching up with the NBA when a player is drafted by an NBA team and he decides to just stay in Europe.

Because you take the sure thing. Real didn't want him anymore and Barca came knocking with a big contract.

The talks with the Jazz were just that. .....talks.

I don't blame the kid at all.

A Jazz buyout is possible, not probable.

I'm pretty sure the Jazz weren't even offering him a contract when they drafted him, probably just a spot in the SL team to possibly make training camp, then possibly make the team. Can't blame him for signing long-term in Europe. Then he blew up over there and got a really good contract in Europe. Both parties are still talking to each other, so he isn't really ignoring the NBA.

He has also said a few times that he is committed to the Jazz if/when he does come over. This is the risk/reward of picking a euro guy. You can stash him over there, and not pay for a lot of the years of development. If/when they do come over, they should be able to contribute right away, if not, then they probably won't come over.

If Favors & Kanter blossomed into legit starters next year, Tomic would be a good 3rd big for us, ala Tiago Splitter.

One of the issues is that the Jazz can only pay about $500,000 of the buyout. Tomic would have to do the rest. For Tomic though this would seem the ideal time to come over with his play and the Jazz having lots of cap space.
