Warmongers

Don't you mean kinetic military action mongers? Get with the euphemistic times, pong mongler.

More war is on the way. The CIA's goal with this whole 'Arab Spring' was one regime change a month. Gadhaffi has obviously thrown a wrench into that plan by fighting back, but they'll keep going until they take him out. If Syria is still a problem at that point, if Yemen is still a problem at that point, they'll do the same thing. And those two countries aren't it either. You'll see a few more ignite after that once they can get a few of the current ones knock out. It's pure madness.

Edit: On another note, activism seems pretty weak in this country. Is that just because D.C. is a pretty bad police zone that really only allows the more organized rallys and such, or just an entire coast/country that is apathetic or focused on the wrong issues? There are things going on all over the place that should make people angry. I guess reality just has to further set in? I'm seriously debating moving to either D.C. or London to start my activism career. Either that, or just go be a surf bum in Costa Rica. All good choices.

Americans aren't realizing the costs of war... Nothing sparks activism more than watching fellow Americans come home in body bags.

The same people who freaked out from 2000-2008 about every thing our military did are mostly silent now as we have, in two years, opened up
more skirmishes and sent more Soldiers.
Seems alot of people are more worried about bashing one side or the other than actually believing in something.
Props to the people who stand firm in what they believe, regardless of who is in power.

False equivalence.

While there are still some who are against the war, there are a lot who are indifferent about it now IMO. I can't speak for everyone, but I do think people played politics when it suited them on the issue. Not saying you at all.

I think you're obscuring things a bit. First, the furor over the war(s) died down quite a bit while Bush was still in office. Second, the anti-war movement was mostly focused on the Iraq war. The last combat brigade pulled out of Iraq last August, so the Iraq war is arguably "over". Of course, there are something like 7 manned military bases there, and I imagine we'll have troops stationed there for the foreseeable future, not to mention however many mercenaries are still deployed there.

The war in Afghanistan was largely supported, even by those who were against the Iraq war. I think the same thing goes for what's happening in Libya, which is seen as a civil uprising that required intervention from world's super powers.

I think it goes on a person by person basis. I have friends on both sides of the aisle who have flip flopped on the issue. Conservatives who now oppose both wars and call Obama the new GWB. Liberals who were outspoken before and now are silent. Both sides like to play politics on the issue. Not everyone of course.
