Westbrook to Utah in Dunn sign and trade

Good news is that Balsa Koprivica is only 24 years old. Bad news is that it doesn’t sound like he’s got much NBA potential. But I guess you never know.
I looked him up on the interwebs and he was a top 15 college recruit to Florida State but was meh there and has basically been trash the couple of seasons he played in Euro leagues..

From the way it sounds he's become a human money laundering service. You have to trade something to get cash, so teams trade his rights to make cash transactions legal.

but the clips sent over westbrook, he counts as a thing, why send another thing if you don't have to? (i guess the jazz can use the thing for trading for another thing)((i can see why players have anxiety, imagine being looked at asset instead of a person. harsh.))

I don't quite get it either, but believe you are right, this allows them to trade his rights for cash in additional deals. I'm not even 100% sure this guys is still playing competitive basketball. I can't find any stats for 2023-2024, the last thing I can find is from 2022-2023, I really don't think this is a guy that has any chance of coming over ever, he's just a thing that can get traded.

Not sure how this applies. Westbrook and Dunn were two real pieces already. Why was this guy needed?

EDIT: never mind. Late to the draw again

I'm a little surprised there's not a bit more recognition of this guy here from his Florida State days. He was on the Forrest, Vassell, Patrick Williams team, along with the Scottie Barnes team.

I remember being a bit surprised that FSU had a big Euro on their team at that point, but now I see that he was a high recruit from the Florida area, so I guess it makes more sense.
